"Misuse". I want you to be aware that the whole world is full of misused things. The guns are only to catch criminals and not to kill the innocents. We even have a law for that and the equivalent punishment is a huge one, yet we see a lot of innocent lives taken away by the terrorists and sometimes by the government itself. You invent one thing, you think that it will be used for the common good and all. But the society is different. One flaw and something is abused. You can create something for one purpose but people will end up doing it for a far different purpose.


I think gold and bitcoin are two different things and just because bitcoin is starting to seem to have a solid foundation, doesn't mean we can use the term "gold" for it. Gold is a mineral and it will continue to have value unless someone found a better element which is a lot less scarce. I think we should have discovered that by now if such exists. Gold has a steady price and I don't think it's going to pump any time soon. On the other hand, bitcoin doesn't have a steady price. It's purely a speculative asset. It can be sky rocketing today but tomorrow you might wake up with the price of bitcoin significantly lower. The market is manipulated by the big players unlike gold which is really based on supply/demand since it actually has an application or a use in real life.

Some use it that way but i bet btc is created by the founder not because of that reason. I also hate the way they uses it except in gaming. I have tried these and I don't think adding this up will degrade the detrimental percíeption on bitcoin. I think that the greatest thing that makes btc name more ugly instead that you will think of trading and great opportunities are:
Those scams circulating arpund the internet world that uses bitcoin name. They even been circulating around 10x greater than this forum does.

I think that's what will drop the bitcoin in the future. because certainly in every country prohibits the existence of porn and gambling. I really do not like to see people who abuse bitcoin

Some people prefer bitcoin over fiat because on some places bitcoin is tax free. I guess it's not bad to use bitcoin for something as long as you're not breaking any law/rules from your place. There's much more misuses of btc but if we continue this discussion it's getting kinda off topic when the title is about bitcoin and fiat.

Bitcoin is totally storming to increase so we expect people wwant bitcoin than fiat.

It has difference from holding gold for sure because if you will hold bitcoin then it is more volatile and you can easily see some fast changes in your portfolio like frequent gain or loss in your portfolio but if you will hold it for long term then you can assure yourself that you will get income and not a loss because that is how powerful bitcoin is.

Don't know because where i live, holding bitcoins is no different from having gold. Saving bitcoin to wait for an expensive price in the future.

For me it is not easier to use bitcoin than fiat. Because for bitcoin i always be online to make a purchase with fiat it is not so complicated.

Lol it's not a misuse of currency, people are free to do anything with their money and it's not that the tjinh you mentioned above is the only use of bitcoin.  People also use bitcoin for other things such as buying games, vpn or bills in some country.
