I am hearing about this Ethereum 2.0 hype for more than two years. You guys need to stop beating the dead horse. ETH 2.0 to Ethereum is just like what Lightning Network is to Bitcoin. The idea may be good, but it will be very difficult to implement and only a very small number of people will end up using it. In short, it will be having hardly any impact on the ground situation. ADA and other alts will thrive in the next few years and at a point they will be strong enough to replace Ethereum from the #2 spot.
Since there are many things still need to fix with ETH that many still initiating that there will be a 2.0 version which still upto now where no where to find . I started hearing 2.0 version after its price dump from 2017 ATH and the hype keeps going without any development access or shown. It will not affect eth, ada or any other coin , it will just continuous to be just a hype of rumor unless it will really be released and if the test runs out fine.

I don't think any Ethereum competitor will go downhill just because Ethereum launch 2.0, I don't really think Ethereum can do that either. Maybe in 2035 lol. They are here to stay and competition is healthy for everybody. Solana and Matic should be mentioned right in front of Ada. The market have enough space for all of them.

Not any good news from ADA after bitcoin break to higher price but ADA still down and not any impact with bitcoin price, but when bitcoin down ADA will have lower price and better to cut loss and check with other coin. I never interested with ADA because have many time failed to break out on higher price although support with bitcoin success back to higher price.

what can't be matched between eth & btc, is same for eth & ada i.e different test of time.

so eth is here to stay and will remain ahead of ada, ad btc is here to stay, and remains ahead of eth even with it's lacking.

ETH, ADA, and BNB I think they will continue to compete in the market. related to technology, network development, and also market capitalization.
For decentralized asset, supply and demand are two thing that will determine whether they are able to compete with other asset in the market or not. However, the intended competition is not only about market cap, but the functionality of the token or coin will also determine to have more adoption. Because the three of them have different chain, the transaction fee will also be a competition to get more users.

~~~
Either way still possiblities, concluding is not ours to dictate.
True, it is the community and users who determine whether the competition is strong or not.
ETH, ADA, and BNB I think they will continue to compete in the market. related to technology, network development, and also market capitalization.
This 3 different chain will contiue to compete as the market have lots of community supporters, it wil depends from how developers and investors see open opportunities.
They'll grab if they see that the system/chain is suitable to what they'll need, we all see how the market moves. Every project have
their own momentum, once the completion was been done there's a after effect that we might see. Either way still possiblities, concluding is not ours to dictate.
SmartFi - EARN, LEND & TRADE
Speaking of ADA. Nope is the brief answer to OP's question. Cardano and   Ethereum 2.0 are two  technologies that offer different approaches to dApps and particular to  smart contracts. After Goguen being fully launched I would expect the dump of ETH rather then dump of ADA after  Ethereum 2.0. I have no idea of any other competitors.
approaching the momentum of the completion of the ethereum 2.0 update there will definitely be a dump on ETH. and there is also a possibility that it will affect the altcoin market, especially the tokens that are in the ethereum chain.
the update will take quite a while, and it will take some lengthy customization to see it take effect.
ETH, ADA, and BNB I think they will continue to compete in the market. related to technology, network development, and also market capitalization.
Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
This is entirely possible since the time period until the launch of ETH2.0 is also the period when many other coins compete by attacking and creating fuds to show more superiority. And this will certainly be repeated when ETH2.0 launches, and the problem is solved when the previous funds from ETH flow to these coins will be flowing back.
Al coin dump now if you see bitcoin back to lower price, I don't think competitive between ADA and etheruem but most serious how come if bitcoin always lower price, how dump all altcoin exactly ADA and ethereum, although will have new update about eth 2.0 still not any impact if bitcoin still going down and you see with your assets lost much.
The Standart Protocol - Solving Inflation
I dont think ada will dump when ethereum 2.0 launch, because ada has a solution for ethereum and itbis good to have a compatitor for this niche, so there are no monopoly. We also did not know when ethereum 2.0 will be launch. We just need a time for developer to move from ethereum to ada.
I don't think soo... but also ETH2.0 is not so close. They have a lot of work to do until it comes alive. Until then ADA or some other can get a big share of ETH costumers.
Ada smart contracts are not live yet so we cannot expect that ADA can take any share from the ETH market. The more the ETH 2.0 is delayed, the only beneficiaries will be binance smart chain. ADA is independent of ETH at the moment and won't be effected by the ETH 2.0.
I would like to focus on two things in these two comments:
-"also ETH2.0 is not so close. They have a lot of work to do until it comes alive."
-"Ada smart contracts are not live yet "
They are staying behind, that is a fact! And while each of these two has their own problems, other projects are rocking the crypto space and offer the same but a lot better and cheaper! And it's what the end customer wants!
This year will be interesting (like any year in crypto is not?! haha), I expect the market to dump and clear some shitcoins that got pumped without some big reason (at least in my opinion)! At the same time, we will have a clear view of what is worth staying and making further progress, and what will stay behind without big chances to recover!
Bottom line, if Ethereum and Cardano developers don't hurry and do something, others will eat them!
By the time ETH2.0 will be launched (who knows when), people would have gotten used to the other blockchains with smart contracts, DEFI, NFT, POS and other features offered by Ethereum. Plus, there is that bridge that makes it easy for projects to switch between blockchains. We can use BSC and Polygon as an example of that. They're both gaining massive volume and there was even a time when BSC exceeded Ethereum's daily volume.
So will Ethereum fanatics/supporters dump competitors? Not after they've gotten used to it and enjoyed cheaper fees.
This is exactly my thinking, the process has been so slow that all the projects that have decided to come in another blockchain are not going to jump at the opportunity to join ethereum once Ethereum 2.0 comes out, whenever that is, and if anything there is the possibility that people decide to leave ethereum behind because I cannot think that such an important update is not going to come with several drawbacks for the different participants of the network.
I think that if version 2.0 of ETH is released and works well then investors will pay more attention to ETH, surely then a large amount of capital will be poured into this coin and the price possibility of It is quite possible that ETH's opponents will decrease.
This is because ETH is still on top of every altcoins and if that update become more successful after finishing all the stages, then people will rush to buy ETH again and some altcoins will be left behind. I also see good potential with ADA but I can’t just see its way to beat ETH, maybe its better to have this both and hold, just forget about the competition with these two because they are both good to me.
we will see the performance of eth once they deployed their phase 1 of eth 2.0, and if it will satisfy their network users. til then, we cant say much as we dont know what kind of improvement it will provide in terms of gas efficiencies and such. eth is somewhat the first choice of most devs, however, it is now slowly changing because of its ridiculous gas fees. a lot of them are actually transferring to another networks, whereas, others are directly building their system in platforms like bsc or ada. if they are happy and contented about their chosen network, i guess, they will stay even if this eth 2.0 is fully deployed.
How many time ETH has upgred their system?
I guess many times, before its increased a lot their developer has made an upgrade and it has happened when ADA was upgreding their system to shelley.
ADA and ETH is a good coin, their price will be stable because the long term investor will not move their investment when they have bought ADA or they have bought ETH.
Unless, for short term investor they will move their capital depend on the market sentiment. And this thing will not give a big thing for the market movement either ADA or ETH.
Or will they remain stable at least?
I think I like ADA anything better than what Eth can bring out. However I hold both. I started out with more eth but have just been stacking ADA because I like staking it for passive income.
You guys have any thoughts on this?
All else equal, definitely.
ETH is simply a more practical and established platform compared to ADA. Sure, ADA does have the academic backing and whatnot, but that does not count a single bit when you're talking about widespread adoption.
But that's not to say that Cardano will just go to 0 - it'll serve a niche for institutional investors who want to invest in evidence based solutions, imo.
I am sure when ETH2.0 is released and gas fees from Ethereum are cheap, then Ethereum will be the best again, because currently the problem for Ethereum is gas fees, so if gas fees from Ethereum are starting to be low (not as expensive as it is now ), then I'm sure that no competitor can beat or compete with Ethereum again and the price of Ethereum will definitely increase very high.
This can happen.
Currently a lot of investors are waiting for version 2.0 of ETH, if version 2.0 can solve the problem of transaction fees, there will be a large amount of capital poured into this coin. And if there is no new source of capital entering the market, surely investors will withdraw capital from other currencies to invest in ETH, it will cause some other currencies to fall in value.
First of all, ETH will be "converted" to ETH 2.0 so it will just continue to be the same currency, but will be only improved.
In my opinion, the implementation of ETH 2.0 will have a very big impact on the price of ADA and BNB, because both projects are almost in direct competition of ETH.
I am not sure if it will cause the ADA and BNB prices to fall, but it will definitely slow them down.
As for the ETH price, after upgrading and lowering the transaction fees should skyrocketing and chase BTC very quickly.
Yes, if from July the problem of high gas charges for transactions in the ethereum network is resolved, then we can expect a rapid rise in the price of this coin, especially since autumn. Now the price of ethereum is growing very slowly precisely because of this problem, so ethereum is very underestimated. The price of this coin, taking into account the current price of bitcoin, should already be about five thousand dollars.
ADA is now growing in price also taking into account the deceleration of the ethereum price. When gas prices bounce back, ADA's price gains will slow.
