I don't think it will affect the competitors, i think it will affect the coins by itself. Is hard to say but we haven't seen a PoS coin that is a success, and this could bring some problems to ETH. And I think that's why we haven't see ETH 2.0 yet.

ADA is a good option for staking as you mention, but ETH will be the number 1 coin for staking in the future, at least it gives more than what the bank offers if you decide to save your money there.

Big changes always come with a big impact on the markets, and only time can tell us if this change was a good or a bad thing.

Or will they remain stable at least?

I think I like ADA anything better than what Eth can bring out. However I hold both. I started out with more eth but have just been stacking ADA because I like staking it for passive income.

You guys have any thoughts on this?

First of all, ETH will be "converted" to ETH 2.0 so it will just continue to be the same currency, but will be only improved.

In my opinion, the implementation of ETH 2.0 will have a very big impact on the price of ADA and BNB, because both projects are almost in direct competition of ETH.
I am not sure if it will cause the ADA and BNB prices to fall, but it will definitely slow them down.

As for the ETH price, after upgrading and lowering the transaction fees should skyrocketing and chase BTC very quickly.
Ethereum is getting a lot of benefits after the Ethereum 2.0 update. It is also necessary to take into account the fact that a significant amount of transaction fees within the network will be burned and thus Ethereum will become a deflationary asset. According to some analysts, the amount of Ethereum burned will be an order of magnitude higher than the amount of Ethereum mined by miners. This fact will radically change the position of Ethereum in the cryptocurrency market for the better.

It would impact the price to go down for ADA and BNB but ETH 2.0 is not even close. Until then a lot of stuff can happen. If ETH2.0 isn't up for next year competition will take some of it's market share.

ADA coin have going down after bitcoin crash from $58,000 become $53,000 and still not any way when bitcoin going up and raise above $60,000 again, I think not any guarantee with ADA coin have higher price if still bitcoin on lower price, just see how long bitcoin have lower price ad could back to higher price again to make ADA and other altcoin have potential break out on higher price.
- The only guarantee with ADA is that the position of the ADA does not drop too much after a long time, you can look at ripple, even if its value is pretty bad but as long as it remains in the top altcoin, it can still simply explode, it doesn't need to prove to you its worth, ADA can always do the same thing when it's still in the top coin. Ethereum's upgrade could have a value effect on competitors such as ADA but too soon to determine the outcome as this update is still ambiguous, the ADA still has plenty of opportunities to stay one step ahead

I don't think soo... but also ETH2.0 is not so close. They have a lot of work to do until it comes alive. Until then ADA or some other can get a big share of ETH costumers.
People are thinking that they will be seeing eth 2.0 asap but they didn't aware if there is a new drama is still going on. ADA will not get any impact even when ethereum 2.0 can be fully released. Basically, when the miners agreed to update their client that was supporting EIP 1559 and the update will come very soon but miners didn't wanna agree to update their client.
Anyone should watch how this story will be going on. This is will be the same as when the miners didn't wanna implement segwit on bitcoin.

^ They are both good investments at all but for now, we can't blame people switching into other networks just because of the high fee, small traders are trying to cut this kind of loss while you are in trading.
Yes, if there's an open opportuniies who will not run and grab it, for the meantime traders are really looking for alternative
as ERC based tokens do have a annoying transaction fees.

Quote
And the most anticipated moments of ETH when there is official v2.0 will officially launch and traders hoping that it will good for them to save the fees.

Most are anticipating that after this update good news will show up in favor of those who wait and patiently keep their assets.

Nevertheless, regarding ADA we cant speculate but probably it will remain stable. Because for now, traders and small investors has been enjoyed the BSC's projects, they making a lot of profit there.

ADA shows that each coin that have good usages will soon recieve interest from different types of investors.

Ethereum is already beating them with way too much gap. But ADA has been doing great sitting at the fourth position and followed by the next competitor at the sixth position which is Polkadot. Most of these coins were created to correct what a lot of people don’t like about Ethereum, but as usual the first is always being the first and that seems like it’s not going to change.

And it seems to me like a lot of people are waiting for the ETH 2.0 to be released, the way I have been seeing it trend, and when that happens a lot of them are definitely going there. But that doesn’t mean that it’s the end for the other coins like ADA and Polkadot, they are still going to be there and nothing will happen to them, no matter the position they stands at.

By the time ETH2.0 will be launched (who knows when), people would have gotten used to the other blockchains with smart contracts, DEFI, NFT, POS and other features offered by Ethereum. Plus, there is that bridge that makes it easy for projects to switch between blockchains. We can use BSC and Polygon as an example of that. They're both gaining massive volume and there was even a time when BSC exceeded Ethereum's daily volume.

So will Ethereum fanatics/supporters dump competitors? Not after they've gotten used to it and enjoyed cheaper fees.

Maybe, the main reason why people switching over another blockchain was the gas price if it gets resolved people would just go back to using ERC20 etc because they are used to it.
But, I doubt those ETH competitiors gonna get dumped so hard, maybe those coins gonna just lose small fraction of price and trading volume but I think they gonna be fine, after all it's better to get all the defis and tokens distributed to many blockchains so it's not too centralized in ETH blockchain.
It is unlikely, all the projects that have decided to move to another network are probably not going to ever go back as it will be a complete pain to do it, what it could happen is that the interest of new projects on coming above the ethereum network could increase, but it is not going to be something that happens immediately, after all there is a lot of dissension, it seems the miners do not like this upgrade at all and they could challenge it with one of their own.

ADA will not get any impact on the implementation of POS to the ethereum and it will make its users that already exodus to the BSC and AVAX come back again to use ethereum. I rarely seen that ethereum users that migrate to the ADA consider it's not compliant with ethereum address and it's different than AVAX, BSC or RSK that compliant with ethereum address.
You can connect your ethereum address to another mainnet. Just know if this will become the main point.

Life's but a walking shadow!
I can't state categorically that ADA and and other supposedly eth competitors will dump just cause eth is launching eth 2.0, if they are going to dump, it'll most prolly be due to some other reasons with their ecosystem, but what's pretty certain is that eth is going to continually do better than them, alluring more investors with it's community of investors expanding.

Eth 2.0 is yet to be out, but eth is still doing so many good things on the alt network, eth doesn't even need 2.0 to be better than other competitors, but what eth 2.0 is going to do for the network is give it more hype, more investors and a pretty high price, all these could make eth go so far ahead of other coins in the altcoin market and they'll struggle to catch up.

Cardano (ADA) will probably remain strong alongside Ethereum (ETH) even with the complete release and implementation of Ethereum 2.0. I also have both Cardano (ADA) and Ethereum (ETH) in my portfolio but a lot more of ETH than ADA. Ethereum (ETH) is generally superior than Cardano (ADA) but in terms of fees and certain features Cardano (ADA) may be better. But Ethereum (ETH) has got the name and a huge body of followers, users, and supporters not just of its coin but also of its network.
I also have both. but with a different comparison. I have more ADA than ETH. because I missed the ETH train starting the pump, I decided to prefer ADA. and I have benefited this time.
the planning for ETH 2.0 is going to take a while. and in that time of development ETH may get a correction. if you want to invest in ETH, I think it will be better for the long term. at least until 2.0 is completely implemented.

the majority of ethereum users were migrating to the BSC and ada was only getting small users from there.
For your consideration, that majority users you have mentioned is using bsc only for transactions, not a true believers. Eth still have big trading volume and massive holders.

No matter how high the eth price after the eth2, all these competitors have their own value. Their technology and innovations is the only things will determine their value.

I dont think anyone else can totally move on using ethereum network. We all knew that eth is a powerful smart contract platform and been widely used eversince. Now that eth is 2.0 is coming out, I'm sure many will get trigger again and put all their money with it. But of course the rise of other dex on other blockchain can also be a great rival but I'm sure eth will always prevail as it display a great innovative approach on blockchain industry.

None of them will be getting dumped that is for sure. Majority of Ethereum users are switching to BSC because of high transaction fee but they are not dumping Ethereum. ADA is a good project but since it is cheap people are investing in it and therefore you can see a pump in its price. Watchout for BNB it might get pumped hard this year.

P.S - I am not promoting BNB.
