ETH BCH are coins which will survive along side with bitcoin for a long run. Except these two coins there is no other coin that can replace them, not to talk of taking the place of bitcoin.
On the other hand, crypto currency like ethereum or Bitcoin cash had grown higher. Though their value raised but they partially managed to gain trust of the people. To me, I think the crown may be changed. And also ethereum may come forward among all the other crypto currency.
in my opinion if other coins to rival or defeat Bitcoin is very difficult, because bitcoin is the king of coins. if Ethereum competes with Bitcoin, I find it difficult even though Ethereum has very good potential and has proven its capabilities and Ethereum is indeed the best altcoin but not as competitive as Bitcoin.
It is the best when coins rival each other and tend to takeover from the leading coin but as of present there is no coin looking to overtake bitcoin as the king.

of course it is a thing that will very likely happen. especially now that it is starting numerous new coins with sophisticated technology. that's where this thing is going to be a tough competitor for old coins.
It is quite possible.there any many coin in the market.which are grown day by day.so they will earn coin after few years.but at present bitcoin is the best coin.and it will take crown like before.it is a best coin.

I think it will take a very long time. Adoption is key, and currently btc is simply the best adopted. Hard core owners will never part with their investment, not without a better alternative where more money can be made off.
However, I wouldn't mind less dominance by bitcoin, it would mean that valid blockchain projects will not have to progress in fear of their funds being evaporated over night

It will never happen because Bitcoin is the parent of all cryptocurrency.

No one can bypass bitcoin, almost all coins were mined by miners , the price will only increase every year

I have been recently following Stellar that is generally on the rise and the tokens issued on the Stellar platform - now there is a bump like in any cryptocurrency over the past few days, but generally Stellar is on the rise because of the prospective Coinbase listing and other advances. This will also boost tokens issued on the Stellar platform...
