Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
Bitcoin possible obsolete by other coins but not this short period of time.Bitcoin replaced if no one using it. As long as many consumers believe in bitcoin it will remain number 1.
I don't think that it will happen too. Looking upon the market cap of bitcoin it's very impossible that another popped out coin will just replace it.
And seeing the next to it which is ETH is still very far to replace bitcoin. So I really don't think that it will be ever replaced.
That's the aim of most alt devs.

There are few cryptos what are on market from long time maybe will some few more but thay will exist together with bitcoin,it is any problem it is even very good to have some real strong alternatives
Yes I agree the other cryptocurrency will only being second choice and still exist. Compared with other cryptocurrency, bitcoin enthusiasts still more. Many features are attractive for investors bitcoin or bitcoin users, such as halving every 4 years, of course this may not be owned by another crypto currency. I think the creator of bitcoin has taken into account everything that bitcoin currency can be good for each period. Flow fiat that was changed to bitcoin is very high, beating other cryptocurrency.Bitcoin has established a strong foundation and that is good price inflation and confident and trust from users. Though bitcoin is volatile but we can be certain that we will not leave crying but walking happily as price inflation is the thing that bitcoin has provided to its investors since 2009. Other alternative currency can no longer replace bitcoin in any kind of manner and strategy they are using. Bitcoin is the cryptocurrency of the people and nothing can replace it.

maybe like litecoin, dogecoin, this coin have lived long time enough to exist and live together with bitcoin, but these coins would not be able to replace bitcoin. has proven that users prefer to use bitcoin

there is nothing in the world which is impossible if we got anything better than this then why not . we will switch to that cryptocurrency and even thought we still having a huge issue with the transacton fees which is hardly taking away a big money like you have to pay a precious price if you want to deal. it feels like i am dealing with devels of hells
in fact any thing is possible but nothing is so easy.i think bitcoin is the number one currency of the world and will remain as number one currency and nothing can replace bitcoin in near future. 
i think it will happen when cryptocurrencys reach acceptance at the main population.

The possibility of taking over bitcoin by any other altcoin is just a dream and with the kind of followers bitcoin has and the technology behind it cannot be matched by other copy coins and it is not a realistic dream.

Well since there are lots of other crypto currency out there maybe someday bitcoin will be replace by one of them,but I don't think that bitcoin will be forgotten in the world of crypto currency.

The confirmation issue were supost to be a problem but even with that issue to handle we keep see bitcoin very strong while others altcoins are loosing their power against bitcoin, there is a circle protection around bitcoin, huge investment that looks like others coins arent able too moove.
In general all altcoins lose and will continue to lose value against Bitcoin. Altcoins are nothing more than speculative investment options that people hop over to in times the Bitcoin price happens to go down, or doesn't seem to move. But that's more due to them being addicted to volatility and filled with greed as they constantly look to make profits. Other than that, no one takes altcoins seriously.
Bitcoin already offers people what they are looking for, and thus there is no demand for the gimmick features that altcoins offer - which at the same time don't get even used by people beside some geeks finding joy in toying around. Bitcoin just needs to make sure it gets updated in the way that we find a solution to the currently endless block size debate. SegWit is what we need in this case. If pools for once stop messing around and start to support SegWit, then we have made a huge jump forwards.
I don't think it is possible without involvement from big banks,governments etc... And even with such support it will be hard.

Bitcoin was the first crypto-currency which changed the world. After that appeared many other altcoins , some of them are dead already and some of still exist. I think it's pretty possible to another currency replace bitcoin, something new that clear up all mistakes of bitcoin.
Which mistake? The only "mistake" which comes to my mind is the 51% rule. But as far as I can remember, no one has come up with a better idea. And till now, the 51% rule hasn't caused the reversal of any of the Bitcoin transactions.
