Nope, its not. Bitcoin is useless without altcoins. I think the reason of why the price of bitcoin is rise is because of altcoins. For my own analysis, as you can see in the graph from 2014 upto this year 2017. The bitcoin price is continue increasing and the altcoins is increased in numbers. Therefore, the many altcoins made the more bitcoin price increase.
This does not make sense, and most of the time it is the other way around, you can buy bitcoin with fiat, but can you buy other cryptos with fiat? Most of the time the answer is not, in order to buy alts you need to use bitcoin, so altcoins grow because of bitcoin and no the other way around.

This is not true, the opposite happens historically - when BTC goes up ALTS follow.
yes your right, b itcoin eventually could bot kill bitcoin because if bitcoin goes up altcoin follow. but bitcoin is still famous and has a better price than altcoin because bitcoin is still the greatest virtual currency. but as of now altcoins price decrease while bitcoin price goes up because bitcoin starting to have an big value.

Most of the time it does, but there are some coins that will not

Yhup. Not all will be destroyed by bitcoin. But some of them maybe on bitcoin's side. We dont know what will happen in the future. But as far as I know, bitcoin will continue till 2020.

Bitcoin is actually not a destroyer of altcoin but vice versa. Altcoin are the whose destroying bitcoin. There too many popping altcoin every month and the market for cryptocurrency is spreading which deatroying btc market.

I don't see that happening ever, the idea of cryptocurrencies derived when bitcoin was created. You will never know, you might find that if bitcoin was never created, the idea of cryptocurrencies would not exist. Bitcoin will always be the superior coin, any other coin created after it will always be inferior to it. Altcoins can be good but they can never be better than bitcoin.
I agree with you, although still have altcoin potential when investing better than Bitcoin, but about the price and the stable can't compete with Bitcoin. Because investor altcoin are most speculator and they just want earning profit fast, when see a big loss they not care and sold out all balance for keep safe their money + marketcap small easy control by whales

It's mix sometimes majority of the altcoins went down sometimes went up or just stay so it's not a definite trend but most of the time altcoin do rise up also when Bitcoin rise up and it's good for the ecosystem..
I also see that it more a relationship happening on both Bitcoin and other altcoin where the development of one another is made possible by the mutual relationship. So Bitcoin killing alternative coin is not much likely to happen because they serve for one to another just like other currency which dollar serve as the universal one that makes sense on the trend on the market. And in the market most of altcoin depends its price on Bitcoin so it is much more need each other to develop and progress.

Every time bitcoin price goes up,Altcoin price take a dip.No doubt bitcoin rule the crypto world and sooner or later it will become mainstream.
Once it happens, btc will be worth million dollar. Will then all Altcoin be died?Seems Altcoin price are inversely proportional to btc price, if btc keep rising, will Altcoin keep falling? .
There are so many altcoins in the market and most of the altcoins are dead coin and dump in the market still the bitcoin have a high narket value but i guess no way that bitvoin gonna kill alternative coin because i guess other altcoins also have a successful token and there are a lot of altcoins.

Bitcoin will eventually kill Altcoin? I really do not believe that it will going to happen before or even after August 1st. Bitcoin and altcoin are growing so fast then you are saying that eventually bitcoin will kill altcoin? I don't think so.

Most of them, but I think in the end some will survive. There are some technologies that may be difficult to implement in Bitcoin, and some of these alts can work as a good hedge.

Not all altcoins are inversely proportional to bitcoin. Da altcoin which follows bitcoin prices such as ethereum, namecoin, litecoin, NVC and PPC. The example of altcoin I mentioned has long been learned and consistently altcoin above always follow the fluctuation of bitcoin price.

Bitcoin and altcoin are two interrelated elements, the factor that bits the bitcoin up in a duct is the altcoin that always sustains it from below. Even I think if there is no altcoin, maybe a bitcoin will die.

Yes, it will.

No it wont kill altcoin, they would co-exist with each other just like what we are seeing right now on usd and other fiat currencies. Don't just base your judgment if bitcoin can really kill altcoins or not on charts alone because charts only tells the past price movements, not developments. Instead of saying that bitcoin can eventually kill altcoin, Ill say it the other way around. Altcoin might eventually kill bitcoin but the chance of it happening is so low.

It won't kill Altcoins. The price of bitcoin's rising up so fast is merely due to speculation. Same thing happens with altcoins but in a lower scale.

Probably not. Different altcoins, such as Tezos and EOS just raised $200m+. This will keep their development up for years, and will make a more sophisticated product eventually. Bitcoin will not die, it will still be #1 coin by market cap, but mainly because of it being used as store of value / means of payment.

There will be a project eventually that surpasses bitcoin's market cap. The recent events have shown that bitcoin is too dependent on miners and is nothing closed to decentralized. My bet is that other consensus mechanisms will emerge victorious eventually. Bitcoin will not kill alts for sure. One must be a very narrow minded person to believe that.

BTC gradually, tends to increase. Occasionally even if the exchange rate is change, since its inception till now increment is noticeable. In my opinion, on some countries officially creation of active use with BTC shows the increasing of its value. If it is not an unexpected event the next 3-5 years noticeable increase on 5-10 times. Also, on former past work stoppage of many coins of Poloniex resulted as people keep away from subcoin. Subcoin also well-known and has potential to increase on future. But BTC already is certified. Maybe seperately they can contunie their activity.

altcoin vs bitcoin in which case bitcoin prices are superior because the average altcoin sells its stock to bitcoin.different from another altcoin that every sale can buy directly to dollar like ETH or STELLAR.in terms of price they can compete with bitcoin in the future
