One should distinguish the areas in which Cardano might overthrow Ethereum. Thinking of smart contracts and Dapps I would say yes, Cardano has all potential to overthrow Ethereum. Thinking of marketcap I would say NO, it will never happen because of enormous supply of ADA envisaged by Cardano's PoS protocol. Thinking of the mass adoption I would say they will reach equilibrium state, eventually.

True, in general Cardano will not be able to beat Ethereum and I think it would be better if Cardano developed itself again to be stronger and able to compete with other Altcoins that are already more popular in the crypto space.

It is very boring to hear that other coins will get rid of or topple Ethereum and the truth is how many times and in how many years no one has been able to get rid of it, the second best coin after bitcoin.
Cardano is one of the top coins and whenever there is some coin developing and significant progress, it will inevitably hook or be predicted to beat Ethereum, and the answer will remain just as impossible.

The past is the time when platforms have the most loopholes to topple and remove, but instead of attacking from such an instant on a so new ethereum, Carnado probably prefers to adopt a more long-term strategy to compete, they are confident about their technology and their step-by-step roadmap and ignore ethereum. Not a big fan of both but from what I know, it looks like Cardano's got a lot of academic reviews on its side, the documentation and the protocol are being studied and researched by phds and such. It's hard to get this kind of traction from the academia, therefore that must be something.
Still, bitcoin even without that fancy academic side is far superior.

Cardano need to prove it self about smart contract feature, when finally it will released ? If this feature released and we know the plus or minus points we could judge is it able to compete or even overthrow ethereum. Ecosystem hasn't build yet so its very difficult or too early to judge about it.

This can't be possible, Cardano can grow up but it will not overthrow Ethereum. As we all know, there are many successful projects on Ethereum, which will never leave Etherum. I admit that Cardano is a good project and has a high strategy and can grow well in the future. However, it's not good to say Cardano will overthrow Ethereum. But the positive news beats the fud though. Sometimes the rate of stakers are indication that ADA is decoupling with BTC. Still very bullish in a way.

In my opinion despite that I have respected Cardano, I don't think they can surpass Ethereum anytime soon in terms of market capitalization, usage and price. Ethereum's use cases and development are better like building Dapps, blockchain games, DeFi, etc. The Ethereum London hard fork is coming and 2.0 might be coming to reality later on. Things are looking bright for Ethereum. For Cardano, what they need is to hire more skilled developers like what Ethereum is doing that make them expand to other long term use cases.
