Ever since Elon Musk started tweeting about Dogecoin, the cryptocurrency has been on a road towards non-stop success. Price per coin rose considerably since the beginning of the year. Those who held DOGE before the pump, already cashed out massive rewards. The momentum will keep going until Elon Musk decides to stop tweeting about Dogecoin. After that, DOGE could either retain its price or go all the way down the drain at a very fast pace. Dogecoin was never meant to be taken seriously, so anything can happen in the future.

What do you think? Will Dogecoin be able to survive without Elon Musk? Or will it simply vanish like the rest of the other "shitcoins" on the market? Is the DOGE hype over? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

I think that the community is strong enough for it to survive.

But at the end of the day, survival and actual innovation is two different htings.

The Dogecoin community will always just be a niche of people who love the meme, and who will prop the price up. But in terms of actual integrations and innovation, Doge is not the way to lok.

Dogecoin has a burgeoning community, one that was totally alive before Elon Musk showed up at the crypto scene and it would be there when he's sick and tired of crypto

It will but the pump&dump schemes will be less compared to the days when a single tweet caused 20% in an hour. There are similar meme altcoins but as established altcoin DOGE has gained so much popularity, it doesn't need speculative tweets by Elon Musk to survive, in my opinion. Just let the market do whatever they gonna do, affecting the decision of the majority means you have "interest" there. So Elon is the biggest speculator there and he only wants your money, the previous experience lets me say this at least.

I think that the answer is yes, it can survive. Because you should already know that Dogecoin was surviving without a problem even before Elon Musk started being interested in Dogecoin and manipulating it. It was just a meme coin and the inventors also said that they released it for fun. But they had no idea about the Elon Musk factor back then.  Grin  Elon Musk helped the price go to the moon. And now, Dogecoin seems like it is on its own.

Dogecoin had been on mainstream even before Elon Musk became rich and famous. They had an active volunteer development team and a lot of support as a meme coin.
Though his vocal support made it regain it's position and reach top 5 again, Dogecoin has always been around even without Elon. They were still a popular coin in gambling sites, a popular tipping coin and one often used for transfers as the fees were lows and transaction fast.

Of course. Dogecoin has been on the scene way before Elon Musk started tweeting about it. The community has kept it going after all these years. Once Elon Musk expressed his compliments towards DOGE, the cryptocurrency soared towards new All-time-highs. This has brought lots of public exposure to the project.

What I'm concerned about is Dogecoin's ability to survive after Elon Musk decides to abandon it for the next big thing in crypto. Things are not the same as the were back in crypto's early days. A massive dive in price could sink Dogecoin for good. The blockchain will still be alive, but it will not be as popular as it is right now. If there's not much interest into Dogecoin, it could slowly fade into oblivion. After all, it's an extremely outdated cryptocurrency. How long will it survive is a mystery. The best we can do is diversify our investment into other coins to be prepared for the worst. Just my thoughts Grin

Dogecoin has been exist for a long time now and I remember when Dogecoin was at 20 satoshis back then and people still trading that coin despite the profit probably really low and hard to achieve since too much supply and the trade wasn't going really well at that time. Even though there is no more tweets from Elon Musk in regards of Dogecoin, the worst thing we could see is the thing that I said before.

Indeed. So this can be an indication that can justify the assumption that Dogecoin can survive without Elon Musk. People have been trading and still are doing it regardless of the tweets being released, this just mean that not all traders of dogecoin are Musk’s followers and so can survive because of those who stayed with the coin.

Doge coin can raise up to higher price but depend with bitcoin price, if bitcoin can't up doge keep down, not try investing with doge coin right now because without Elon Musk dogecoin is nothing to favorite and can have potential to higher price. I loss much in dogecoin after try to cut loss and bad thing after cut loss price pump to higher price.

It lived without him for a long time. It will survive but not a lot of people need it. It seems like even Elon forgot about it already.

Elon tweeted today that transaction fees need to come down.
Low transaction fees would be a +1 for thriving.

Are transactions really that expensive in dogecoin blockchain? According to google they around 60 cents. That is not much when people transfer thousands and much more. Or he and people await that dogecoin transaction fee would like it was years ago - about 1 cent or less. If yes, then they should not expect dogecoin price to be high.

People are used to an old believe, that transactions in crypto are cheap and you can transfer million worth crypto and pay less than $1 for it. These times are gone long time ago.

Hype coins need the support of influential people. Dogecoin has been supported by Musk. Even if Musk now says that Dogecoin is "junk" coins, there will still be people holding Dogecoin. Dogecoin is already popular and there are coins for supporters.

There will be other coins without Dogecoin. Elon Musk is because of his high degree of attention. No matter he tweeted to express support for a certain currency, he will receive the attention of his followers. They don't think too much, they just follow Musk's operations and trust him. Musk chose Dogecoin, which gave Dogecoin a great exposure. Let more people see Dogecoin, which is undoubtedly beneficial for Dogecoin.

Dogecoin is a meme coin and I think without Elon mask this would not hyped so much .you can see when mask stop to marketing doge this coin has down a lot and not recovering yet . When it pumped a lot when he did it's advartigement . But may be now  people get to know about dogecoin and this can support dogecoin to survive and stay as a good investing coin

Off a truth Elon Musk is the face of Dogecoin he made it more popular and his tweets and announcement makes the coin come out among a other altcoins, but even if Elon musk is no longer marketing and promoting Doge I think Dogecoin will survive because it's has gain alot of adoption which will be able to sustain it for a very long time. Elon has impact on it, but the coin will survive without him.

Dogecoin is an old project that still survives today, meaning that Dogecoin always has demands. So without Elon Musk promoting Dogecoin, I believe
Dogecoin will survive till now. Elon Musk just created Dogecoin hype and hit the ATH price, but if Elon Musk finally decides to leave Dogecoin,
I'm sure Dogecoin will survive. I even got to know Dogecoin in 2016, which was when I got Dogecoin from faucets. Dogecoin's long journey
in the crypto world makes Dogecoin have supporters, that's what will make Dogecoin survive.
Dogecoin has seen to have its own potentials even before but the people were not able to noticed it. It was only became popular when Elon hyped its price and eventually seeing its value keeps on surging. And now that Elon has stopped talking about dogecoin on his tweets, its value starts ceasing too. But since it has already been accepted in a wider community, its value might chances to fall but not end up as a shitcoin.

Do you know how much Dogecoin Elon Musk bought? Elon Musk doesn't have much influence in buying Dogecoin, he only influences his tweets. I think only people who are influenced by Elon Musk's tweets are buying up Dogecoin a lot because they believe in a bigger price increase. I'm still optimistic that the price of Dogecoin continues to improve without Elonmusk's presence.
I do not remember Musk buying any dogecoin, the guy supposedly supports the coin but we must follow the money, did he invested as much money in dogecoin as he did in bitcoin? And we know the answer to that, so I think at some point Musk is going to get tired of supporting the coin and will say something negative about it and people are going to panic and they are going to begin to sell the coins, and it is likely that dogecoin will not recover for years if that happened.

Survive, that is an interesting term. My take is that it will keep existing with our without Elon as there is a sufficient number of users, it is listed in several exchanges and I am sure there are some big holders that are interested in keeping the chain alive. Which brings a interesting question, how low or how little known does a coin have to be to be considered extinct? Even if it is worth a cent, it is still a cent as long as someone out there mines trasactions.

Elon musk is not the reason why dogecoin is doing well. The dogecoin community is strong and there is a lot of sentimental commitment behind the dogecoin pump in the markets Elon musk is only riding the wave of his influence to make some gains from the pumps that follows his Shilling
