I dont think so, if 2018 will be crucial, but time is working for alt coins. ETH is future-proof and has strong position on the market. Im curious what will happen in the future. There are perspective projects like Nebula Network which will have stable exchange rate thanks to the solid backing in cloud storage. Coins like this with rate separated from btc are future of the market in my opinion.
i don't think that it will raise that high in 2018 but in a couple of years ETH will outperform bitcoin i think
There's a big chance in the future that ETH will beat BTC because of many use cases but not this year.
Maybe its possible that eth can beat bitcoin but for now the stability of bitcoin cannot beat by any coins.Eth has became popular now and there is a chance that one day the price value of it must increase also.
Yes, assuming a long story in the future. Now, I think ETH is not able to overcome the shadow of bitcoin by the end of 2016. However, I appreciate ETH, LTC with great progress and growth. A fair competition for the development of cryptocurrency is probably worth the wait in the near future.
ETH is not at all compete for the Bitcoin because you can share there are many differences between them. Mostly the supply ETH is 5 times more than the Bitcoin, and already there are some governments legalizes Bitcoin already for payments. Maybe now it is not possible may t will take another 20 years to cross the Bitcoin price.
If seen from the market price any time will not be possible because ethereum itself still has a reference at the bitcoin, so when bitcoin down then the ethereum will also experience the same thing, so there may be rival the ethereum price bitcoin.

In this year? Honestly i don't think that there's chance.Ethereum is the most popular altcoin and second to the bitcoin in this crypto world, and also had a great potential. But this year I think it's impossible to Ethereum that, maybe 2-3 years its possible.

Is it ETH already surpassed Bitcoin Cash? Because ETH is on top 2 on the coinmarketcap right? or are you are comparing both of them on value of each coin? Ofcourse Bitcoin Coin Cash will win because it has a low supply around 16.9M supply unlike ETH 97M supply. But for me BCC will still has a long road before reach the potential of ETH.

Ethereum I think its potential is much higher! Since bitcoin is just a coin for exchange, and Ethereum is a huge decentralized network of blockchain on which top corporations make the development and all these developments are applicable in the real world, while Bitcoin has one application, just to share it. In cost per coin? I suspect as much. Bitcoin has certain issues that make it not exceptionally helpful for little exchanges meaning it's not valuable as a money for generally buys. In this manner, my forecast is that some time or another bitcoin will be the dinosaur that began everything and not by any means be worth much and ethereum may at present associate with longer than that
for price its really possibly! why ? here is my reason .
a lot successfull project their token based er20 . and ETH fee transaction quite low for price right know .
but for be like BTC its impossible . BTC its a masterpiece . and also btc as main crypto will more grow if eth more popular somedays.

my conclusion that Ethereum has not been able to become a major competitor of Bitcoin in the matter of the value of save and exchange rate (as Asset). Fundamentally Ethereum is already guaranteed by several major factors, but for now Bitcoin is still its king.

The fact that ethereum marketcap is almost a half from the bitcoin. And I remember about ethereum did even reach more than a half from the total marketcap of bitcoin. that means if ethereum is the only competitor to the bitcoin itself. But honestly it like just make a comparison between orange and apple. if I say Bitcoin is gold and Ethereum is silver.
if i were to say ethereum never can beat bitcoin, but in terms of holdings i can say ethereum is the best coin to hold right now, bitcoin has been passed to a price correction and the hardfork, ethereum though slows down but im pretty sure it will go up high this year maybe a new high record for ethereum.

Nah, it wont happens. The golden ration between BTC and ETH is always stay max at 10%.
You can take a look from market history, therefore you can check what is the future price projection will be.

I think not. BTC always sit in the first place in the crypto market. And BTC transactions are cheaper than before so I don't see any reason which can beat BTC. Right now, many people still prefer use BTC to make business. To be honest, ETC will reach bitcoin value, but no alts can replace the BTC.
