A flippening will happen one day I believe, but I dont think it will be Ethereum, there are better platforms such as EOS that will eventually surpass ethereum as they are much better platforms and then surpass bitcoin, it will be a long time in the future though, as pretty much anyone getting involved in crypto is going to buy BTC

How it is looking currently is that btc is taking back a lot of the total market cap. We have seen that multiple times before. First it's the turn of bitcoin and afterwards the altcoins catch up
Ethereum cannot beat bitcoin or even surpassed it cause bitcoin is somewhat the god of all altcoins no other coins can reach what bitcoin achieved.

Op, in as much as i like ethereum as compared to other altcoins in terms of market capitalisation and value, i strongly believe that Bitcoin market value cannot in any way be compared to that ethereum not even in 2020 let alone 2018. I think ETH will not beat BTC in the short time but someday maybe it will happen if many people move to ETH and leave BTC.

If you mean the price then no, it's imposible. But if we talk about ETH and BTC caps it's pretty possible. Just take a look to the dominance rate chart at CMC... I suppose ETH will become the top crypto in few months.
I think its possible, but not so soon. Probably it will past 2023 when all bitcoins will maining. Maybe Im not rigth. Will see.

ETH is much better technologically than bitcoin and commissions for sending are much less. But even this will not make the ether more popular than bitcoin. I fully agree with you - ETH will never become the number one crypto because this place is occupied by bitcoin. Althow many forecasts tell that ETH will take the first place, but I guess even if ETH will become #1 it won't be there for a long time.

There is possibility and many rumors about Eth to cross Bitcion some day but i think ETH could reach 4000$ by 2018 max,

Perhaps in the distant future, but definitely not this year. Rather, people will find life on Mars, than ETH will be able to overtake Bitcoin. 
so like that many happen can change in less than a one second in time, but we must be realized and studied again about BTC is pionner coin crypto, many people know about that. But if ETH can famillier and more famously i think all prediction become true and real.

Perhaps this will happen in the future, but I doubt that someone will beat the king of the crypto currency
I don't think that will happen anytime soon. Maybe if ethereum will solidify its current position as the preferred coin for ico's and companies and as long as people would continue to support ETH then it might get to the bitcoin price of December 2017. Wishful thinking it might seem but that is really possible.

I am not sure because the market price is volatile and no one could predict the flow of the price. Even though bitcoin was the first coin but when it calls to supply and demand then ethereum might have chance to beat bitcoin, maybe in 2 or 3 years later.

I think Ethereum won't stay @2 for a long time. Most of ico's require AML/KYC so people are giving their personal info Ethereum related projects. Most of crypto currency investors are still anonymous. This is gonna drive away people from ETH at some time.

Its a big NO for me now that I saw that the transaction fees of bitcoin has gone way down and not as high as it is last year. Probably some didn't see that but I saw it because I transferred some of my bitcoin in an exchange account and the fees are around 4 digit only. If you are saying ETH will beat BTC this year, I don't see this is happening and once Lightning Network will be implemented Bitcoin will be use more in transactions because of faster tx speed and lower fees. so I will say NO for this.
Transactional charges of bitcoin went down due to the fact that its price falled, but when it starts to grow, the commission value will increase. Ether can beat it, but not this year.
I believe that ETH will beat BTC. but not in 2018. I think it will be until 2020. then ETH will become the king of Cryptop rather than bitcoin as now
