Bitcoin mining profitability comes and goes; the manufacturers making the Bitcoin mining machines will not give away any profit, so for them to sell their product the selling price always puts the mining machine buyer at a disadvantage.

However, when Bitcoin price rises such as what we are seeing now, people who own these Bitcoin machines not win a two-fold speculation: their mined bitcoin is worth more and they can sell the machine they mined BTC with for more money than that paid. This can only happen in a very tight window however.

Firstly Hello, So, as we Speak of Mining Here As per the past few Years Mining was totally into Dust as for its major setbacks in Growth of Cryptocurrency and Mining Went totally out of Picture. Trust me Mining wasn't Always so Profitable As the Prices in the Market Increased and as per The growth of Cryptocurrency increased competition also increased and only High-End material which Costs Big Bucks would only make a certain amount of Profit. As such if you seriously want to get into Mining make sure You are prepared for High and Powerful Investment. and rest it all depends on the Market.  Roll Eyes

Mining won't be profitable anymore, never. It is because most people only care and interested on popular coins. Imagine how hard they are, the first crypto adopters to build a successful coin. If people support a small or unpopular coins, they might have a lot of profit once the coin become successful.

Big respect for early Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrency adopters!

Now that bitcoin is at 7000k plus is mining becoming profitable again? Or bitcoin still have to surge more in price before profitable mining returns?
Yes bitcoin mining is profitable again, if the bitcoin price keep increase then the mining will be more profitable. I'm sure many of bitcoin miners that give up back then will come back again after they seeing the bitcoin price right now. The sad is the transaction fee is become bigger.

As far i know, bitcoin mining very profitable in several country because their county have cheap electricity cost. Compare several months ago, bitcoin price getting more better and i am believe miners will get more profits at current profits
Most advanced countries have very high cost of electricity, except the smaller nations, is it US, UK and even some African countries, which is why it even became a threat to china that made them made a move recently to try and ban crypto mining, so you can say electricity is that cheap, if it is cheap, why would miners stop mining when the market was in bearish trend?

The only reason why it becomes profitable for miners now is because the market is already on bull run, the more they mine now the more reward they will as bitcoin value increase which will make it easy for them to be able to pay their electricity bill and still have enough money to go to bank with.

Of course, mining will be profitable when the value of cryptocurrency coins increasing in the market.
And it will be better if you mining some existing coin than a new coin. Because new coin has no volume to sell yet in the exchange.

It depends, for example I like the idea of iddle phone mining - Electroneum. It is profitable because you do not pay electricity pnly for mining and when you do not use your phone, you earn.  Cool

Before the price increase, mining was also beneficial, but only for those who did not have electricity costs.
Is it today not profitable? I’m not talking about Bitcoin mining, because I know that today small farms are definitely not profitable. I think it makes sense to try mining on new coins that have the possibility of mining.

I think that yes, mining will be in trend again and video cards will be more expensive again.  But as for me, I would not do it.  Once I already burned no longer want.

Bitcoin might be not but there are many other mineable coins come in altcoin space everyday, you can mine them before they become a next big thing, though keep in mind that its not easy you will come across many scams, do due diligence to filter them out.
But that will not easy to find the right coins to mine because we have so many coins that could be the next potential coin in the future.
And only with analyzing, reading, and searching for more information related to the project, we will find the right coin so we can start to mining the coin.
Bitcoin will be profitable for mining, but it will only work if we have powerful hardware that could give us a profit daily.
But don't forget that the bitcoin difficulty still increases in every day and that will be a problem if we only have small power for mining.

Mining is always profitable but not for everyone. Some people can get huge profits by mining and some people fails to maintain their costs! Though last year we heard miners are in lose zone, but then we know Mining becomes profitable again and it always be a profitable way, but that needs proper knowledge about mining!

I don't really understand how much capital to mine and how much we have to spend on caring for and paying for electricity bills but what I know for sure is that mining has actually been done a long time ago even since bitcoin hasn't been released for a long time and as we know that at that time the price was still cheap but many people wanted to do it so wasn't that profitable? because if not then no one will want to do that, especially now when the price is very expensive compared to the price at that time

The price increase will lead to a revival of the mining sector. After the last price drop, miners moved away thinking that this was gainless. For sure, the new price increase will be the reason for their return.

Mining is always profitable for someone or no one would even be doing it.  The days of hobby mining at home with a GPU are coming to an end.  You can't really something that is ASIC proof, there will always be better designers that can make specialized gear for a certain algorithm.

Yes you are right mining is profitable for those who has the budget for the huge consume of electricity in mining bitcoin.

how do they not spend money to pay for electricity? this is very unlikely, what else if mining is done in the city.

so that means yesterday was just not profitable, and for now I think it's still the same. mining can be said to be profitable if the btc price has returned to 10k or above.

Mining began to make profit again after the cryptocurrency market began to grow and this is not the limit, so the mining devices started selling again much more expensive, so if anyone thinks to start mining, you need to start faster before the prices rise again.

From calculations in 2018 when btc went to as low as $5000, the profit margin went close to zero but I believe currently btc mining has become more profitable than before despite the high hash rates. I hope it continues this way to attract more investors
Due to the increase in the value of Bitcoin, the profitability of mining has increased in almost all cryptocurrencies. Therefore, there is hope that the "winter" for miners is over.
