In my opinion Satoshi might still be alive and he might be slowly selling his coins backwards.

Basically if he sells the BTC that he mined in 2009, then its very easy to track him down and with all the wealth he possesses he might get tracked down, kidnapped, or even some governments might want to have a word with him.

He solo mined most of his coins in 2009, but how do we know if he didn't GPU mine some coins in 2010 with a mining pool which would of made the coins harder to link to him.

Plus we don't know his situation. He could already be a wealthy individual and he doesn't need anymore wealth.

When you got a $1 Billion US dollars, will another $1 Billion really improve your life? Its already more money that most people can spend in a life-time and why attempt and sell those early coins and get possibly tracked?

Supposedly Satoshi holds over 1 million bitcoins, do you guys think he will ever end up selling his stash off?  At one point he was worth over 20 billion dollars and at current prices he is worth over 7 billion dollars which is a staggering amount.

If satoshi sell all his coins then the market will drop and altcoins will be the next cryptocurrency that will rule the market so he should not sell all his coins.

No. If he wanted to he could have sold his coins multiple times already, the prices have went up insanely and the dude is said to have like a million bitcoins and his address is known and his accounts are known, they are all inactive and Satoshi himself last said he is interested in some other project and apparently never became online ever again after that.

Considering this dude created bitcoin all by himself (well maybe got some help) he can certainly create some other huge thing and he probably never again had that money problem. He can also be dead considering his inactivity and not even responding.

He owns a lot of bitcoin and for sure he's already a billionaire so maybe he will keep on holding or he sold his coin already. We don't know yet, and we don't know if Satoshi still exist but no matter what he do on his coin, he deserve it and we should be thankful for that. If I were Satoshi, I will enjoy my life now with a lot of money and we have no choice but to let him do that.
It is very unlikely that satoshi is going to move his coins, he understands very well that if he were to do something like that then an uproar in the community will spread about what this means, also its impossible for him to move his coins without bringing a lot of attention to himself since I'm sure that there are many security agencies that will like to arrest the person that created bitcoin.

yes of course satoshi will sell the bitcoin they have but I'm sure satoshi won't sell it all will definitely make gradual sales so as not to damage the price at the exchange place.
We will witness the end of something he built and for people like him , money isn't that much value comparing to make a new system replacing traditional money . it's better for everyone's sake that never happen especially while governments try its best to stop cryptocurrency .

If Satoshi is still alive, and the bitcoin he mining is still holding in his hands, i think he would cash out definitely, it is a huge fortune, i believe no one can resist this temptation.

most likely this Satoshi has already sold some of the bitcoins they have but not all of them and they always provide improved algorithms to be able to get bitcoin.

He probably sold some of his Bitcoins last year in December! Smiley

I strongly believe that he is such a committed person but not an angel without wings.
Prove it, the addresses belonging to satoshi are watched all the time not only by enthusiasts but probably by governments and security agencies all over the world, he cannot move his coins without the whole world knowing what he's doing that is the whole point of the blockchain where you can see every single transaction ever made, so unless you can prove it do not spread rumors that are not true.

I think Satoshi must be thinking about the 1 million bitcoin they have will be used as something that can have an impact on the world. for now I am sure they have not sold the assets they have because they know the price of bitcoin will soar much higher than today  Wink

it is his choice for him to sell or not. i think he has enough money already to live his dream life.
This is not about dream life and if he is still alive, I am sure that would not only be the coins he probably mined or could have had some in other wallets.

However, this is a dream that is already active, and I am not sure satoshi would want to make any move to destroy his own work which is one reason why I believe he would not offload all the coins in the market. He kept those coins for a reason and which we simply know was a very smart move to make. More like him having everything all planned out. If he wanted to sell, he would have sold part of it at least by now.

Its not one person deciding, I think satoshi was the cover name for a group.  Even if BTC started off as driven mostly by one person the keys were probably handed over and divided so it would require more then one person deciding.

If they were active the market would discount this extra supply and he would not be able to sell before value dropped.   At present the market generally does count these tokens as ever likely to be used.   Im not sure if these unmoved coins are counted as part of the BTC market capitalisation

Well, no one know the total amount of Bitcoin Satoshi Nakamoto is holding is his wallet and even if he decided to sell some amount of the Bitcoin in his possession, it will be very difficult for any of us here to know.

I don't think Satoshi's alive right now. There is no accurate information, but many people believe that he is no longer alive. And it is unlikely that he will ever use his bitcoins. Perhaps his children or grandchildren will withdraw these coins quietly. Although it is impossible in the blockchain. The potential of bitcoin is very high, perhaps once 1 bitcoin will be worth $ 1 million.

If I assume that Satoshi Nakamoto is a man of creativity and critical thinker, I think he will sell his bitcoin once the value of Bitcoin reach its highest value compared to other cryptocurrency and current currencies around the world. It can surpass the annual budget of several governments in the world, even the institutions like the United Nations.

There is a very high probability that Satoshi will never sell off his Btc. If he ever does, then we are all doomed, that may act be the end of crypto. Besides no ones know who Satoshi is and whether he is alive or not. We have more important things to be worried about right now. A whale wallet holding about $1B worth of Bitcoin has just come alive, the wallet was said to be associated with the Silk Road scandal. Check out the full story here:
