Yes, they will, when the oil runs out, only. The question is how high the price for electricity will be and how much the car with electric engine would cost.

Will the electric car destroy petrol car?
There is major portion of society which will not afford the electric car. I think the electric car will make comport in our lives but there is a space available for petrol car also. Petrol is also a powerful fuel which are mostly consuming in machines.

The petrol engine wears out more strongly, therefore the electric motor becomes cheaper after technology development

Until now, oil-fueled cars are still a mainstay, because with fuel that is easily obtainable, until now oil-fueled cars are still issuing the latest version.

I really think it will because electric car is very convenient and it can save a lot of money. Not, just that it doesn't need gasoline to work, it is very eco-friendly and it can really help lessen pollution. I really think that it would be great if diesel powered cars will be replaced with electric cars because it will help people save a lot of money. However, it has a reverse impact on big oil companies because it would lessen oil and gasoline demand.

We all know that the main disadvantage with the electric car lies in the expenses. The capital cost and maintenance for electric cars are much higher when compared to diesel or petrol cars of similar configuration. Another major issue is the battery replacement, which will cost you a fortune every 3-4 years.
I agree, not many people can afford the electric car, especially of its high maintenance every now and then, I think many people will stick to using petrol and diesel cars compared to Electric cars. It will take a very long time for Electric Cars to take over and replace the traditional use of Petrol and Diesel Cars.

I think electric cars has had 10 more years to evolve. The cost to renew the battery with the current conditions.

Are you sure that the technology will improve after 10 years? I am asking this because for the past 20 years, there have been hardly any improvement in this field. We are still using the Lithium-Cobalt battery, which is insanely expensive. And the deposits of Lithium and Cobalt which can be easily extracted are at the most finite in nature.

Just electric I don't think so.
But I think hybrid cars are the future, it's like a beautiful mix: powerful, economic  and nature lover.

Nope. It might drastically decrease sales, but there are always people who like "classic"/older cars.

Yes , in some time it will happen . Electric car technology will replace the need of petrol car . But it will take time , enough time to change whole petrol car market into electric cars . As developing countries in the world will do it easily but under developed countries will take some time improve this facility.

I think that electric cars are superior and spruce to petrol cars and Elon Musk has said that it is his mission to electrify the world's transportation

Now electric cars are very expensive, but behind them is the future. After all, gasoline (oil) is too early or too late to end and all are forced to switch to electric cars, in addition, it is an environmentally friendly mode of transport.

I'm not a big fan of electric cars, but I have an understanding that due to the huge number of cars with internal combustion engines, we have problems with nature and the planet and in general. Therefore electric cars will be very handy if we are going to save the environment in a normal state. That's just need to find opportunities for disposal of batteries.

Batteries are very expensive. Almost the price of the car. In environmental terms, of course, is more optimistic.
