We shouldn't forget the amount of nickle and cobalt needed to produce batteries for the electric cars of the future. If it really takes off, the current nickle and cobalt production mines cannot produce enough quality metals to fill the demand. This could stagnate growth of the electric car industry.

Judging by the prices on the exchanges, the markets do not see any special shortage in the future with these resources.

As for me so it's better to start up the energy and money for the extraction of nickel, cobalt and lithium ... and let the electric car drive out the petrol car.... although something useful for humanity will do ... or otherwise we will destroy the planet ... unfortunately, so few people see this and pay attention to it

I think it will destroy it. because the gasoline is very dirty. very expensive. electricity is clean and cheap. but a number of petroleum cartels will not look that hot any time soon. because there are big investments. automotive manufacturers may be creating alternatives to the electrical system, but most of the gain is from liquid-fueled vehicles. Boron mine was a good source of energy, but they did not use it either.

Already destroyed. The topic is overdue.
Political decisions are made and soon there will be all infrastructure for electric cars, and for gasoline on the contrary there will be less services.

I think yes, and this process is already started.. Electro cars become cheaper and are sold at more favorable prices. The main problem I think is so called oil magnates which will purposely slow down this process..

I don't think electric car can destroy petrol car. Considering the affordability of the electric car and cost of maintenance. Each car has their own pros and cons. Both cars will exist side by side with each individual  choosing his preference . It would just be like bicycle, tricycle and cars.

I really think that having an electric car is more eco frienldy compared when you are using diesel powered car. It's cheapwr because gasoline and oil is  ey expensive nowadays.

definetly..each and every car should be converted to electric car on near future.because we dont have enough fual for our future activities.so we will have to think about alternative fual resources as electricity solar power and wind.to my mind petrol car will mot persist more than decade

You probably would like to say something, then I agree. This is in the first place environmentally friendly, and secondly, much cheaper. I would have bought such a car if it were not for the price that bites at the dawn of their development.

Right. And i don:t have amy problem with ecars replacing every petrol based cars. Tesla should be commended for starting this kind of thing though that will face very big challenges from the conventional car companies which is bigger. Of course for these people moneh comes first

Electric cars require power, as in electricity, whereas petrol cars require fuel! Power and fuel prices are different in different regions of the world. If fuel prices go up, demand for petrol cars will decrease and demand for electric cars will increase. But there will be an equilibrium demand mix for both!

base on my own opinion it can really destroy petrol car, imagine if people can afford electric car, petrol car will slowly die.

Affordability is the biggest challenge. Isn't it? Why should anyone spend $100,000 on a Tesla car, when a Toyota or Fiat with the same specifications can be obtained for under $20,000? Environmental protection is fine. But it should be affordable as well.

The development of environment friendly electric or solar products was slowed down due to the influence of petroleum and oil businessmen. But when we have visionaries like Elon Musk we can hope for a better future. I am sure that when electric cars become affordable to the middle class people then it will destroy the petrol cars. Who would want petrol cars when we have better option.
