I am sure its easy for the government to ban cryptocurrency because they have a big power which we don't know. But they won't do that because they still need time to learn more about cryptocurrency and I think they will take the benefits from the cryptocurrency, and I am sure right now, they are starting to investigate about the cryptocurrency. But if somehow, the governments finally ban the crypto, they need to make something within the internet connection so people cannot use cryptocurrency again.

I'm considering to buy and hold some privacy coins for long term. I read some articles and they said governments are taking harsh stances on privacy coins. Do you think they will ban all privacy cryptocurrencies by prohibiting exchanges to list those coins?

Don't think this will happen. Not now at least. And you should remember about decentralised exchanges also. I don't think they care what governments think Smiley

It will not be banned, since it is much more difficult than to create control over the entire market. Therefore, while there are not even the first steps, it is possible not to worry about the ban.
Yes, we do not need to worry about any ban on any type of cryptocurrency. I believe no government will be having a separate stand only for privacy concerned cryptocurrencies. Most probably they will be having only once stand which is applicable for all types of cryptocurrency because any crypto currency could be having anonymous feature with few steps or with setup like bitcoin can be anonymous if you go for mixing services.

Crypto was created indeed for anonymous transactions, so that was not the reason the government then banned crypto.
Please do not spread wrong information about the purpose and why we are having crypto currencies. As far the I have learned, the crypto currencies are not created only for the reason of having anonymous transaction but it is the feature and we may go for it if we like. Cryptocurrencies are here only for the reason of having a decentralized financial system.

don't hesitate to buy, the bull run will happen soon and the government will never be banned from crypto.
I believe many people are hesitating to buy/invest crypto currencies just for the reason of fearing about government's stand. I too believe no government will go for completely banning even if they do I am sure they could not implement such a ban.

I don't think that this will happen. It is not profitable for governments, since they themselves invest in cryptocurrency Cheesy

That's right, this is a pretty stupid question that I saw on bitcointalk, it was a funny joke for bounty hunters, and I saw it too. But it must be affirmed that the government does not want to and will not do so, it will be very bad for them in the future, an era of technology over 4.0  Shocked Roll Eyes

Yes might be, if the cryptocurrency is somehow a threat to the economy of a country then they have the reason to buy the access and use of it across their country. I guess cryptocurrency might have no negative implication but the government doesn't like it.

Is there a reason they should be blocked? Personally, I somehow do not understand why cryptocurrencies can block at all. This is not music or art that can somehow offend someone.

This may well be, since I have long read that Japan has banned the use of cryptocurrency in you, which have a high degree of anonymity, such as Monero, Dash, Zcash and others. True, I have not heard for a long time how such a prohibition is observed. So it is quite possible that other states will follow this example. In addition, I think that over time, the state will try to limit the circulation of cryptocurrency. States generally do not need a decentralized cryptocurrency.

I guess it's not possible. see the potential crypto can Government should see this as an advantage that must be obtained in order to create a society that is full of earnings. Crypto will be more attached to and become a part of every transaction and it will not be avoided. so I don't think the Government will not be able to stem this is for the more advanced.

Not all governments are prohibited from crypto. Although crypto can be used for many criminal activities (such as money laundering), crypto also brings tax and technology development to many regions.

It is meaningless to prohibit, the growth of cryptocurrency is not blocked by anyone. This is a human progress, but there are still many difficulties but it cannot be stopped, so you don't have to worry.

There are other ways they could use to discourage investors from buying them and to discourage exchanges from listing them, although not all exchanges, but one thing i know is that, they cannot ban it. Inasmuch as cryptocurrency is still decentralized, they can't. Then the people, investors have the power here.

I think they may try but they will not have much success because it is impossible to enforce short of shutting down the entire internet. People will find a workaround for any attempt to ban. The power of Governments is limited once it tries to go beyond business entities in its own jurisdiction and enforce its laws overseas. The US has been waging a war on copyright piracy for years and has been unable to enforce that globally.

In my opinion. I do not think that all Governments banned cryptocurrency. Not all people have the same objectives when it comes to cryptocurrency if their is a country who banned it just let it be because we can not force someone to like cryptocurrency if they do not want. Regulating the cryptocurrency inside their country is their right to do it eventhough it is decentralized.

It will never happen. Cryptocurreny will be here to exist until there are traders on the on exchange. The government doesn't have that much authority on banning privacy coins especially if the coin provide a lot of advantages or usage. The only time that the government can intervene is when crypto is not following the law or affecting the money circulation.

In any case, the world is already brewing up a situation where cryptocurrency should not be recognized as securities and assets. Cryptocurrency must maintain such status so as not to attract the attention of regulatory authorities. Although if we take into account the capitalization of the entire cryptocurrency market, then such money will always attract the views of the authorities.
