Yes, i would. Because the price of bitcoin is increasing rapidly. Many shops and restaurants are accepting it as a payment. Besides i can cash out from bitcoin at any time from an exchanger.

I would totally accept it and support this idea if bitcoin was accepted and used globally, even in that old shop in the corner. With the current circumstances, it will take quite a long time till everyone's got to pay in bitcoin because there are some countries still don't want to legalise bitcoin and bitcoin is still something strange to most people.

Seems kinda pointless. You would have to exchange it for USD to buy groceries and utilities and whatnot and pay a tax on that. Plus the whole volatility thing..

I would definitely accept it as salary anayways. I just cash the needed amount out and save the rest for my future and retirement plan.

I would prefer to share the risk. Main income I would earn in dollars and extra funds that can be used to accumulate I would have kept in bitcoin. I do not trust the currency which may one day lose 30% of its value.
yes i also like to get my salary in Bitcoin, bu tn my areas i do not think that there is any company who are accepting bitcoin and are welling to pay salaries in bitcoins
If you really have 2 sources of income Yes, of course you can receive a salary in Bitcoin or another crypto currency, which has a good weight in the financial market. But this is only if it makes sense, because the real life Still requires real money.

In Europe there is a hot new pertaining to a company whose going to introduce paying bitcoins to their employees. But given the instability of the bitcoins market value is it an advantage for the employees or an disadvantage. In my opinion this kind of payment for salary is not yet beneficial to employees not until bitcoins price has become stabled. Though if bitcoin will start to increase its monetary value it can be advantageous but if not then it is a peril to the employees. So what do you think, what is your opinion on this matter?

I don't think so. It's been a year since this question was asked, and the values are still all over the map. I don't want to get paid $1,000 for a week and have that go down $200 the next day. That wouldn't work for me at all.

For me I think it is conditional or it depends upon what it the situation, as for example BTC does not have a stable price yet, there could be problems like it could rise or shoot down. That is only one example of some risk of problems may occur in the future, but generally it is really a good term payment, nothing less on than.

I definitely would accept Bitcoins instead of a standard salary but I doubt it is going to happen anytime soon.
To be feasible it would require the government to also accept to rake in labour taxes in Bitcoins and before this can happen Bitcoin would have to be accepted as a legal currency, which is not the case at the moment.

I agree if bitcoin is used to pay salaries to employees, but not all of them, because the price of BTC is unstable so it still needs fiat money  Grin

I totally agree with it too, but in any cases if somebody would hire me and pay me through BTC and his payments are stable just like what we agreed then why not? besides most jobs that are related to BTC can be called as sidelines and if I'm not happy and contented then i should quit the job properly or talk to the employer and try to make a deal to change the payment method to fiat.

BTC is still not a "legal" currency in europe so it woul be rather dificult to be fully paid in BTC. As i´m a service provider i would gladly accept to be paid sometimes in BTC but i would need to maintain some income in Fiat for tax and legal porpuses.

If the minimum wage is about 120 dollars in my country and at the current $ 2,000 per Bitcoin then I do not think that there will be such a strong and qualitative transition to salary in the crypto currency. Perhaps in other more developed countries where social standards are much more this will be more welcomed than in others.

Absolutely yes. I will accept Bitcoin as currency for my salary. This is because despite the volatility of Bitcoin price , the parallel market price or the black market of Bitcoin in my country  still remains high . So I will accept Bitcoin for my monthly salary payment because of its local values. And at the same time, it will make things easier for me, in terms of its global acceptance as compared to my country local currency which need to be converted to dollar before one can embark on some international transactions.

I probably would accept bitcoins as salary right now. However, I would have to convert most of it to dollars to use. I would still keep some for an investment.
