However, they need to find a way to make these competitions more fixed, like they are always declaring there is a competition going on right before the competition, that is why I honestly think they should fix it to a certain period, like once a week for 2 days every week, which is basically what happens already but they just make it known like that. In any case, rains getting more and more common is a new addition and I kinda enjoy it, it doesn't involve you wagering a lot, it just pure luck that you can get out of nowhere.

No one knows, house edge calculation against the wagered amount does not always represent the actual result of those players. Lets say a player is wagering 10btc, it does not mean that this player lose significant amount based on the house edge.
It is just a calculation, we cant rely on this formula as it is just like an estimation of the expected lose. The result will always depends on their luck, who knows that those top ranked players win bigger than the contest prize while they were playing during the contest?

Secondly those who are the top position are whales and those whales only care about winning the competition, and if in the process they loose few extra Satoshis they don’t mind it hence you can relax about them loosing few Satoshis to the house edge.

The last contest looks like the most tough contest so far, the first 4 winners wagered great amount compared to the rest.
It is also good sign that the number of big players at windice is increasing time to time. It is now getting harder and harder for regular players to win the contest with just few btc wagered amount.

well its debatable , the good the bad and the ugly gamblers are determined not only by how much they win
but more how well they control their bankroll and know when to stop
luck can be real terrible and you can be losing a lot , so what an average gambler does: deposits more and tries to "recover"
if by any chance, he gets close to the initial amount , here is when you know if a gambler is good or not , since a good gambler sets limits and follows them no matter what
he would set a goal of , say 25% profit and stops and withdraws and starts a new session when he feels like gambling , not because he has to get back what he lost
remember that the games have no memory and they do not care how much you lose or how many reds did you get on 2x or 1.01x

I doubt that's fair, sure it is their own way and sure they are entitled to do whatever they want but I am also entitled to think that windice is being greedy about Christmas when they are giving away so much money to people who can afford to wager 10+ bitcoins while not sharing it with the poor folk. judging by the HR bets , he also had a very lucky streak and managed to make a decent profit in addition to the prize
a good gambler knows his limits , knows when to stop and doesn't act irrationally or chase losses
