Regrading my comments earlier they were not pointing at a problem with this just the fact that using their own medium for the challenge might put people off from entering the challenge if they haven't already got an account with them and this is why possibly at the time when I checked the entries were so low. Though, of note,  this observation was only circa 10h since launching.

I don't see the problem if they give tribute to the legend by having a challenge through their forum. That's the purpose of their forum and it's okay if they have it because it's their community just like they do for this forum and this thread.

And it's very simple, if you don't want to join, simply don't join.

I am not saying they should not do it because others did it, I am saying they should not do it because they already have a forum they keep posting and moving on from that to another forum just because it is theirs and makes no sense to me. I hate all the casinos that open their own forums, there is literally NO reason to do that at all aside from basically taking customers from a decentralized place where people can write whatever they want and move them to a centralized place where they can be monitored easier.

It is really not that complicated to realize that windice wants the same thing other casinos wanted in this. I hope it fails spectacularly so that eventually nobody would be "forced" to do anything they don't want to do and be capable of attending these things here as well.

this has been done since the start of the website , all of the challenges are hosted at windice's forum or telegram / VK with rare exceptions
its a common practice , almost every single casino is doing it and I have no idea what made wozzek so cross?
he is unaware of the things called SEO and marketing , why post at a third party resource even as good as bitcointalk
when you can post at your blog or forum and get additional views, visitors ,exposure and traffic ?

There’s nothing wrong with this strategy as many gambling sites prefer to build their own forums, as that helps in increasing their traffic base and even coming on google’s front page for various search results. Also marketing techniques remain the same in this industry so if PD has done it before it doesn’t mean Windice can’t do it again, and only after trying multiple strategies will they be able to finalise what works best for them.

You're right!!! In fact to my comment made earlier about not having many people signed up for the challenge this might be the exact reason. People like familiarity and don't want to sign up every time to everything and hosting it in their own forum just makes it less accessible.

We had literally the same thing at primedice and stake back in the day when they decided they don't want to care about bitcointalk and tried to get people to their own forum for some weird reason, why does these casinos want to have their own forum all the god damn time, you can use this forum as your own and write these things here as well.

Now, they are doing "challenge" which literally what primedice did back in the day as well, and we need to "partner up" but that is not enough, both of those people have to register to windice forum and should be writing there as they are partners and contribute to their forum that way as well. Not only they are getting worse, they are also copying other websites on the bad parts of their websites as well. Hopefully they will figure things out and come back to good ways they used to run or this place will eventually get less and less people.

Hey ralle14, the challenge I was referring to was the black mamba challenge and even with the reward being generous it still wouldn't hurt encouraging as many entries as possible? I think this is the case even it comes at the cost of spreading the news over a few more channels right, which in the end will only bring in more money to the casino

Which challenge are you referring to? It's only day 1 after the challenge was announced they still have a week left to post their entries give it some time other users will surely join the challenge since the reward is good. Their previous giveaways had a lot of entries so I don't think they need to advertise on other platforms.

I'm surprised to see that so far only about 5 people signed up for the challenge. In my opinion, it's a great challenge to hold whereby to the number generation gambling game real world situation/celebration is attached, even if its in the memory of someone. Returning to my initial observation perhaps using other mediums to increase the participating numbers might help    

Well, it's in the very post you are quoting , and I'm sure there are others.

Also they were running a signature campaign with 50 participants for more than 12 months. If you were saying that they shouldn't have stopped the campaign, I'd rather agree with you. I think it would be better to keep it going. Maybe with less participants, maybe with just 10 or 15, but sig campaign is necessary for attracting new users to your site.

Why not here? They do post here about stand of wagering contest and total amount of bets but never seen anything about these giveaways. They need to promote those small giveaway things here so that newer people who never visited their site may start visiting regularly. Look at what they are doing right now, they haven't done even the wagering competition for a while now and they do not do absolutely anything other than come here and post about 300 million bets and next will probably be 310 million bets and that's it.

My whole point is the wagering contest (the proven whale thing) is alone heavily marketed here but small giveaways are not fairly-equally marketed at least on this forum.

You may like the website and I think it is a good one as well, but that doesn't mean you can't criticize the way they do marketing neither, you can like a website and also give it some feedback at the same time so they can get even better, there is nothing wrong with helping out a place you enjoy by spending time. Windice has "plenty" of stuff, so they should just focus on marketing those things to people as well, letting them know.

Could you get me the posts where it was promoted lastly on this forum (if your time permits). Honestly they are having tons of stuff for registered users but failing to make use those same stuff to attract new people to register with them (at least in my observation). 

I can confirm that. They are also running chat games, such as roll hunting, multiplier hunting, trivia etc. I have won those games multiple times. And, yeah, the rains and the tips from the mods, I manage to catch 'em from time to time too. Like just recently





Also they have very nice mods, who are supportive and smart. I think WinDice can be visited for that reason alone, I mean, to chat with the mods.

yes they do thier best  . what is the purpose of thier sig campaigns on here  ? that is to promote the site and attact players   .  you play on windice and you still say that its not well known  ? how come when you already discovered it . so that simply means that windice is already well known and its making a name with the help of thier marketing/promotions here on this forum and on other sites aswell  .  now i heard they another new game which is plinko  . that is a good game too , that will attract more people to play on thier site  .

As previously said, redsun probably do not check the site really often so he say that it is not widely known. Maybe it is correct that it is not widely known for those who are not actively playing at windice like me but as far as I can see, windice do their best already so far related to "non-whale" players. I'm not really sure what is missing, but I think it is better if redsun suggest it with more details on what should windice do.

The same goes for the chat rains, anyone who already visited the site at least once sees them.
Those are of course goodies for already registered and active (non-whale) players and not a marketing instrument to draw attention to the site in my opinion.
