i chose windows 7 because i use it now
Windows 10 worked perfectly for me until I was gonna work with visual studio 2012. I can't update it nor can I uninstall it. It seems it is not compatible with this os.
Windows 7 on my desktop as it's my workstation and Windows 10 on my laptop, just because I bought it recently and upgrade it from 8.
I prefer windows 10 because of the materialistic UI which I just love 
Windows 7 without doubts. Would love to go back but I've already boarded the DX12 Hype train. DX12 is supported by Windows 10 only.

Use Windows7 so far but might want to switch to windows10. If I have understood correctly, you can change privacy settings in windows10.
But still you are not able to disable all the features. And if there are some updates like the big november update all privacy settings are reset again to the default value without any notice from you. So you have to check your settings every day... I don't think this is a great user experience. I'm staying at Win7 i think it's more user friendly. And there are no driver issues or similar things.If you want to stick to Win10 you might want to have a look at this:

There are very easy toys released to help secure your privacy and do turn everything off you hate about the info gathering from giant M$
The funny stuff i really allways see is that you all go berserk about M$ but allow google to infiltrate every fracking part of your privacy without hesitate.
BTW if i look around i see kinda 60% of the people i have been for support, at home are running illegal windows.
Which mostly contains all kinda trojans and are botnets anyway and these people are concerned about M$ do the same thing as they allow google todo.
Wrong. You turn off the sending of data, data still keeps getting collected. It can easily be harvested via those automatic updates. Illegal windows copies don't contain anything, stop posting nonsense. No idea where such people get those version; maybe on www.notmalware.com/windows ? I have used quite a few illegal copies that are much better than the original Windows 7.
