(not sure how to do a poll)

So what do you guys think? I'm hearing a lot of hype that windows 10 blows windows 7 out of the park. i have missed out windows 8 because that was probably the worst OS released by microsoft since 98

The old saying if something is not broken don't try fix it. I am guilty I tried it didn't like it after 1 week and changed back. Leave it is my advice.

Microsoft has been sneaking telemetry updates onto Windows 7 and 8, sometimes disguised as important rather than optional updates. This forum post lists all the updates you should uninstall and hide for privacy: http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/367377-how-remove-windows-10-upgrade-updates-windows-7-8-a-30.html#post3127044

Also, if you have automatic updates turned on Windows 10 has probably already been downloaded to your computer. Microsoft is hoping the nag messages will get you to install, if not at some point in future they will most likely force it on you (no choice.) You need to visit the link and uninstall and hide the updates. Automatic updates is no longer safe to use, change to manual so you can pick and choose.

I took the upgrade to Win 10 some time ago...
I have 2 monitors and i hate the tiny little about 6px wide corner in the upper right corner of the left and in the upper left corner of the right monitor. I often swap a window from one to another screen and always get caught at this corner. Even if i disable the little corners are still there. Win 7 don't had this corners. In conlusion: I banned Win 10 after 5 days from my system because this little fact bugged my so much!

Also in Windows 8 and 10, the mouse cursor gets stuck in between monitors.
Yes. Why the seperate features are not enableable each? Customization was never a strong point of windows @ stock with no mods.

I think it's possible to disable with a registry tweak, but it stopped working after a while.

with all the privacy thing turned on, i want to test how much they are spying us...

Don't use Windows 10 - It's a privacy nightmare
Microsoft introduced a lot of new features in Windows 10 such as Cortana. However, most of them are violating your privacy.

Data syncing is by default enabled.
Browsing history and open websites.
Apps settings.
WiFi hotspot names and passwords.
Your device is by default tagged with a unique advertising ID.
Used to serve you with personalized advertisements by third-party advertisers and ad networks.
Cortana can collect any of your data.
Your keystrokes, searches and mic input.
Calendar data.
Music you listen to.
Credit Card information.
Purchases.
Microsoft can collect any personal data.
Your identity.
Passwords.
Demographics.
Interests and habits.
Usage data.
Contacts and relationships.
Location data.
Content like emails, instant messages, caller list, audio and video recordings.
Your data can be shared.
When downloading Windows 10, you are authorizing Microsoft to share any of above mentioned data with any third-party, with or without your consent.

I upgraded from 7 to 10 and it has been fairly smooth. I have had a few instances of instability though.

I expect things to improve as they push out more updates and other software is updated for improved compatibility. Looking forward to seeing some DX12 games though.

you cant buy many new computers with windows 7 anymore.....even though its much better than windows 8.1 and heights above windows 10

You could download a slightly less than legal copy of Windows 7.
