As far as I remember, at begin of this competition Women Big Bash League, Melbourne Renegades squad did not display such kind of performance in first few matches. In fact, they faced some really bad defeats in initial matches. But looking at ranking system now, surprisingly Melbourne Renegades squad is at number 1 position. In their recent match which was played against Sydney Thunder women squad second most strong and second rank squad. Sydney Thunder squad has this match first with batting Inning and their squad members have managed 133 scores as a defend which seem not high scores in this competition. Melbourne Renegades women squad simply achieved this scores and defeat Sydney Thunder squad for massive difference 9 wickets and 34 deliveries. Sophie Molineux and Hayley Matthews both batters build strong batting partnership with collecting 60 and 42 scores respectively.
You are very right in your observations. Melbourne Renegades lost the first two matches they played against Sydney Sixers and Brisbane heat. They then face defeat from Perth Scorchers women but they won all the matches against rest of the teams.
There are two matches left in this WBBL that will be played tomorrow and then we will be having the knockout matches. The first match will be between Melbourne Stars Women and Adelaide Strikers Women while the 2nd match will be played between Brisbane Heat Women and Sydney Sixers Women. Sydney Sixers may still have a chance to end up in top four if they win tomorrow's match by a big margin.
. By the way, Women's cricket isn't much popular in India region, so I don't think they can achieve the targets here.
