# 10/20 Avalon chip module - 2.82/5.56 Ghash/s nominal speed

It's been low-level bugging me for a while why the 20 chip board is not spec'd to be exactly twice the speed of the 10 chip board.  It just struck me today - is it a typo?

2.28/5.56 Gh/s would make perfect sense...

roy

Typo. Should be 2.82 and 5.64.

I have rerouted my ragingazn chips to you (as I have my Sebastians and zefirs).
Would love to pick'em up in HH myself, but will eagerly pay for INTEX NEXT-DAY out of my own pocket if that doesnt work out.

To the Post Carrier discussions:
I think UPS is the the best solution.

please leave an option for us who want to pick up their modules in person in your office in hamburg.

...

also, I read in another thread that these avalon chips have higher clock cap.

Please don't use UPS to ship to Canada!
They charge outrageous customs brokerage fees and packages always look like they got kicked down several flights of stairs.

Burnin, do you think 12v 15A power supply will be fine for 3 boards?
Your specs say each board with 20 chips will draw approx. 40W, that is 3.33A @ 12v, so for 3 boards it would be exactly 10A, so 15A power supply should handle it fine... I was thinking about something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DC-12V-15A-180W-Switch-Power-Supply-Driver-For-LED-Strip-Light-Display-220V-4-/200725152098?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Test_Measurement_Equipment_ET&hash=item2ebc26c162

give it at least 4 Amps / board. - a 15A supply can handle 3 board quite well.

And to all the Power supply questions:
1. the 20/40W are estimates, when overclocking/Volting it could draw significantly more (The regulators could do up to 70Watts)
2. You can connect two boards to one PCIe plug
To do that just add bridge cables between the terminal block of the upper and the lower board. (The green thing on the right)
3. I could add a ATX power supply to my website, If find a source with good prices
4. A power distribution board is not really needed, see point #2

That's some sexy picture.
