Quit? Let the riot begin:

The Firmware is not yet production ready cgminer throws a shitton of errors on starting.
AND the chip currently runs at 128Mhz because its not properly cooled, i have tested it at 256mhz too and it works but its too hot for long tests.

Now the bad news:
I will very likely not get the boards tomorow so we have to wait until Monday.

@burnin... what does this mean:

good work mrb,

this is what we wanted to see in the beginning.

hint hint: the chip has a much higher clock cap.  Wink Roll Eyes

Is it meant as a high overclocking capability?

Edit: Other assemblers say "lead time 3 weeks" or so. Whats the lead time here?

Ok thank you guys for the input on the PSU matters, i'll seek out a few candidates and list them here.

Hi Burnin

Hows things coming along with the sample chips?

Chinese people seem to be much faster lol, well I hope you are working hard man... GJ

Finally a breakthrough today.
I got it running, tested my protocol implementation.

Status:
uplink chip interface - implementation done and verified
downlink chip interface - implementation done and verified
clock pll configuration - checked
nonce range division - checked
hash results - checked
glue chip interface and usb/can interface code together - work in progress

Hopefully that last step will be done when the prototype boards arrive.
(Scheduled for Friday)

great job, well done! weiter so Smiley

It means, that at the current design, his design works.

What still needs to be tested is the ability to talk to each other and therefore put up to 16 boards on ONE USB controller. The chip hashes nicely.

And maybe ONE PSU?Cheesy

Hey burnin,

I'm thinking of a weekend or so in Germany, spending some coins in the world-famous Bitcoin cities and I would really like to collect my units while I'm there. Obviously I'll time my visit for when the boards will be ready but I was just wondering if collection would be possible?

Thank you very much, I am feeling very assured, even though I have no idea what you meant by all those things... Huh

Is possible have the Bill of material ?
I need more information about the ribbon cable.
Another question is why don't use a DB9 connector that is more standard and easy to find?
