I tried with this settings also but it seems as one board always gives up... it idles around and sometime two other boards are following.
one seems to be running without problems.

the first one that defaults is running at 59°C @ 400 mh/s per chip, the other ones are around 55/56 °C.
Overclocked to more than 400 mh/s they go up beyond 60 °C before they idle.
Have you thought of the temperature that the boards are idled ?

I have this:
--queue 4 --avalon-options 115200:16:10:d:400 --bitburner-voltage 1250 --avalon-temp 50 --avalon-cutoff 65 --avalon-fan 100

I explicitly set the cut-off temp to 65. The default is 60, so that's probably why your boards are idling.

BenTuras, thank you. You made my day!

I thought my cgminer (3.3.x included in minepeon, latest version) is the problem, because I doesn't support overvolting above 1310mv, but the main limit in reaching more than 400 mh/s was the temp limit. They are running at about 425 mh/s now at 62°C with the foloowing settings:

Code:
    "avalon-options": "115200:2:10:30:425",
    "bitburner-voltage": "1300",
    "avalon-cutoff": "68",
    "avalon-temp": "30",
    "avalon-fan": "100",

Interesting!

Mine now run welll at 55 and 57 degrees at a stellar 450mh/s. One of the boards is throwing HW errors at me like crazy, but it is still at around 8.2gh/s while the other knocks out around 9gh/s. Awesome.

What are the bitburner XX "standard" Avalon and voltage settings for cgminer without overclocking?

What is the maximum number we are talking about for temperature?
You'll have to delve into the specs of the Avalon chip, but this might help:
On https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Avalon#How_to_Compile_Your_Own_Firmware_for_Avalon :

New  Batch3 Machine: Target Temperature to 70℃ and Overheat Cut Off Temperature to 90℃

Depending on the design of Burnin (on other words how accurate is the value of the temp sensor), you can go up in temp...

I have now a rate of 397 and 385, which is not enough if I want to reach ROI somewhere before July lol.

My two boards are now up and running via two USB cables. I am kind of confused though, since one of the boards makes a "clicking" sound when not yet warm. It also shows, although it has almost same rate of accepted shares, a very high number of hardware errors. I am trying to run them at 450 though.
Ticking timebomb ?

Better lower the frequency, and what are your command line settings ?

Boards are running stable with 413 now, no clicking. Boards were set with

--avalon-options 115200:2:10:28:450 --avalon-auto --queue 4 --bitburner-voltage 1285

And are running fine with the auto option now.

I have spoken with burnin (finally). He is just going to ship my chips back to me. I thought one of my orders was in the assembly queue (the other was converted to a Bitfury discount), but due to Paypal freezing his account, the payment for my 2nd order never went through. My apologies for the confusion. As much as I hate Paypal, I preferred to have some recourse in case shit hits the fan (eg. Terrahash). Granted, I used one of my orders towards a Bitfury discount, I still had to pay more out of pocket to get anything shipped (Avalon's fault, not burnins). Either way, he is true to his word, but I would suggest he hire someone to handle his correspondence if he has to dedicate all of his time to assembly, etc.

Burnin,

You have 240 of my chips from Zefir batch 3, which still shows up as 'Processing'. I emailed you several times and gave me vague responses as to when my boards would be assembled. I would like to have my order refunded and my 240 chips shipped to me ASAP, because unfortunately you cannot hold your timeline. I understand the Avalon debacle screwed you over, but now you are screwing those of us with incomplete orders. My patience has dried up, I placed an order on 7/31 and no updates to it since then. I applaud your efforts and congrats to everyone who got their units, but at this rate, I will not accept assembly that is already a month behind and already 3-month behind schedule. Thanks for trying at least.

Not speaking for burnin but i believe all ordered boards already were built. He now ships the miners as soon as they reach him from the assembler, after the assembler tested the unit.

The assembly as far as we know is already finished. Now, it is up to packaging, which is handled through packlink.

Hey burnin,

Are you still planning to refund me? My emails don't seem to reach you, and I don't see anyone else talking about refunds so I thought I'd bring it up right here. I paid you 30~BTC, and all my chips are refunded. Let's talk. I'm sick of waiting.

Got my tracking notice, a bit late, but it should arrive today.

I just realized I have no CAN bus cable, but only two bitburners anyway.

The question is, how do I set up CGminer when I am actually connecting two of the bitburners via USB?

I've got 4 BTB XX, each one connected directly via USB cable and this works fine:

"--avalon-options 115200:2:10:32:400 --avalon-auto --queue 4 --bitburner-voltage 1230"

btw., I'm not able to oc more than this

Is this connection variation alright if I use only one power cable? That is, connecting two boards with two usb cables but only one power cable, "sharing" the supply?

I have order 386 that is "processing", form this thread I can see that people with order numbers much higher have already received their boards. I decided to stay with burnin and not withdraw my order because I thought it would go fast and smooth.
On top of that I've sent a lot of e-mails and received not even one reply.

Which chip batch were you in? I was in zefir batch and 3 and got my bitburner XX this week. Remember orders were sorted by pay date, not order placement date, so order #s might not be in order. I think order # was set before payment.

They were also sorted by batch #, i.e. whichever batch arrived first got produced first. Shouldn't be to many batches left though.

Zefir batch 3, Burnin order #6xx. Still processing, this thread is making me think my order is at the end of the line? I didnt think so

My batch 3 was just under #400. 7/23 I think was the date on invoice. I recall logging in to register and pay as quickly as I could when I saw he web site was up. (Maybe 2nd day? Not sure.)
