Yes it is 100% true. I've been working for more than 10 years in abroad. Just so lucky I have my children & hubby beside me while working in other country. I didn't feel too much homesick because I'm with them. But for a mother or a father who leave their children in their country just to work abroad for their future. They sacrifice a lot for their family's future. Some of the family become broken because while the wife/husband working abroad, the wife/husband left in their country will commit adultery or vise versa. Not only that the children they left was gone astray. Working abroad is not easy and needs lot of sacrifices.

Hey guys,I just wanted to share some tips when you are planning to work outside your country or if you wanted to work abroad.
First you need to know things about the country you are planning to go or work.Knowing their cultures and tradition will help you a lot when you are already there.
Second is to know the rules of your target country. Some country especially in middle East have very strict rules and  if you guys come from an open city then u have to adjust a lot in their rules.
Third and most important is be mentally, emotionally and physically prefered.,you will come there to work. You need to sacrifice a lot of things and even your family. As for my experience homesickness is very hard to beat especially when you are used to do things with your love ones like celebrating ocassions. Here you will celebrate those days alone.
So if you guys have other tips on working abroad please comment here and share your thoughts.
I hope this topic can help people who wanted to go to other country for work.I wish you goodluck guys.!

Up course it is about the different culture and just add the news about other country or a country that you want to go. If you didn't know the happening on the place you where going, it is just too risky because maybe it has some violent to some OFW or too terrorist attack on the place. Time is gold but life cannot recover if it you get done. There are too opportunities but it is good to be safe than paid using your blood.

Yes i certainly agree with you. Working abroad isn't an easy thing to do. You need to be strong emotionally and physically. Working far from your family and living alone each day is a big sacrifice just to sustain and provide the needs of your family. If you get sick and if you have trouble at work, nobody will help you buy yourself alone. When one of your loved ones at home is sick, you'll feel helpless because you can't do anything about it. You are absent in every special occasions and celebration.

Yes I agree. Its a lot of sacrifice because you will be apart from your family, you will miss to celebrate special occasions together with your loved ones. If you got sick, its only you who will be the one to take care of your self. So I salute those people who work in other country just to provide the needs of their Family.

I have a very special person in my life who work abroad and sacrifice her own life for our future. After two years of her work, she spent her 1 month vacation with me and her family of course. Sad to say, her flight will be on January 19, 2018. Even though I don't like her to go away again, she always said that " Don't be sad, all of my sacrifices will benefit our future. Yes for now we are not together but after I finish my goals, we will be together again". So trust is the most important thing to hold on. Its so hard to work abroad but its so hard also to the partner. We all sacrifice our own happiness just to  earn and save money for the future.

Indeed. We all do sacrifices for that. I salute those brave ones abroad because they are like heroes to me.

Definitely it is a sacrifice. Most of the occasions an individual sacrifices his/her whole youth for the sake of the family. But sometimes there are people who work abroad as a habit which is a different circumstance.

Not everyone who works abroad is indulging in sacrifices. I know many of my friends, who are working in the GCC nations (such as Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates). They are married and have children. Even then, they spend a lot of money on booze and girls. I am not saying that every expat worker is like them, but there are many such people around the world.

Yes, it is a lot of sacrifice. You have to left your family behind and that hurts so much knowing that you are not on their side once they need you. You will miss a lot of your child's moments in his life that you are supposed to be there.

It is very important to keep in touch with family and friends and also to make new friends as soon as possible when working abroad. Attempting to learn the language or doing something useful for the community are two good tips.

Very true that working abroad is a lot of sacrifice, life abroad is not easy because you are miles away from your family. When your alone and feeling sick nobody is there to help and take good care of you. The feeling of loneliness being far from your family is a lot of sacrifice in order to earn for the family.

Yes it is not only for the worker but also for their family.
Just think about how lonely their kids would be when they are going to abroad,
They aren't the only ones who would feel lonely because they are in other country their family or love ones would also be lonely because of it.

Good point. I think I can answer this by experience. My mom is working abroad, and although she has only been there for a couple of years, I sometimes feel sad that she's not around as often as before, not only me, but my siblings as well. Even if we're already adults, we are so used to the set-up that my mom is around and could help us at any time, or can talk to us whenever we like. It's a big adjustment, but it's not that evident because we're adults now, and we just don't want to be crybabies about it. But, it surely is a big sacrifice not only for the person working abroad, but also, for the family that is left behind. Fortunately, technology makes everything closer.

At least you guys are grown up. I have seen many cases in which women in their 20s had to leave behind their infant children, in order to find work. It can be quite hard for the little children, who will be forced to stay with the grandparents or distant relatives. But there is no other choice available for them.
