You bet. Immense sacrifice to both parties i would say. To the one who will leave and to the one who will be left behind. Unavoidable circumstances in life leads someone to this decision. Poverty is the main reason of many. A comfortable life can only be achieve in working abroad. To the point that you have to leave all your love ones behind and be on your own.

If you are unmarried, then working abroad can mean fun (unless you are moving to the GCC nations such as Saudi Arabia and Kuwait). At first you might feel homesickness, but once you get new friends, you will start to enjoy your life. But for the married people, it can be quite tough to stay away from their family.

Yes it is a sacrifice since you are getting out of your comfort zone and you are clueless as to how your life will be in that foreign land. Others are lucky and become successful while others are not so lucky they end up maltreated or underpaid and the like. People work overseas to support their loved ones back home. It is for their love of family. In my country they are called heroes of the modern times.

Departure is bitter than hungry. Arriving is better than departure. Working in abroad is so difficult. Lot of time, sweat, tears, brokenness but you need to stay strong for your family.
Yah! It's a lot of sacrifices and deeper understanding.

No doubt it's a great sacrifice. The people who live in abroad, they have to follow many regulations of that country and the most painful thing is that they  have to live there far from their family members for a better life that can make them and their family financially strong.

Living abroad in general is bound to sacrifice, not just working. Different lifestyles and out of comfort zone. Of course if you also have to work the picture can become really dire. But at the same time it is also a lesson of life.

It is, because it takes a lot of risk working away from your family and taking the risk if what life can give you there, you dont know weather you be working with a good poeple or not, weather your work place will be safe enough or not.

That basically boils down to it, being away from your family. Hardships can be easily overcome as long as you go home to your family at the end of the day. That's the difficult part of working abroad, not having your family's support close to you

I totally agree that working abroad is a lot of sacrifice. I worked onboard a vessel that's why I experienced it. You will be far away from your family and friends, living the life like a prisoner. You need to adopt the culture, environment and get along with your officers and colleagues. Not to mention the high waves, strong winds, seasick and the one that kills you slowly, homesickness. So I can say I've done alot of sacrifices.

I know how hard for those people who goes abroad to work there and be apart with their loved ones. I know how difficult to work every single day that they are thousand miles away. It feels like you are alone even when you are not. I know they are so brave sacrificing a lot just to provide for their families. That is why I honor those people working abroad for their courage and bravery.

It really is hard to work abroad especially when you part away from your loved ones. Not only that but the people living in the country where your going is kind of shady, you dont know their personality and intentions.. worst of all their language. You need to be knowledgable of the things and the culture surrounding a certain country so that you are able to cope up with the people living there.

Hey guys,I just wanted to share some tips when you are planning to work outside your country or if you wanted to work abroad.
First you need to know things about the country you are planning to go or work.Knowing their cultures and tradition will help you a lot when you are already there.
Second is to know the rules of your target country. Some country especially in middle East have very strict rules and  if you guys come from an open city then u have to adjust a lot in their rules.
Third and most important is be mentally, emotionally and physically prefered.,you will come there to work. You need to sacrifice a lot of things and even your family. As for my experience homesickness is very hard to beat especially when you are used to do things with your love ones like celebrating ocassions. Here you will celebrate those days alone.
So if you guys have other tips on working abroad please comment here and share your thoughts.

Working abroad is a lot of sacrifice especially when you have to leave your family and loved ones behind. Working abroad knowing no one is hard.  It is only you yourself you can rely on.  Working abroad means being alone for a while and you would just see yourself crying on the corner being you miss them a lot.

I agree with you, It is not that easy to cope up in other cultures and tradition and also if your employer will follow all that is stated in your contract. Prepare yourself as you encounter homesickness. Also compare your salary here and there if there is a large difference.

Truly it is a whole lot of sacrifice, but it has good side to it as well.
Some folks go overseas in pursuit of greener pastures. I don't blame them if it would amount to much better life for them. Somehow, it is the better option than staying in home country, provided, the country in question is welcoming to immigrants and with better economy.

The most difficult part is not seeing family for years. Travelling back home could be really expensive for the people working aboard though some companies do provide paid vacations.

It is painful to live without your love ones. But, you have to bear this pain if you want to earn money. There is no gain without pain.

It is true sacrificing your time to be with your family and your love ones ,
You would miss a lot of time with them sometimes you could really miss your kid growing up without even noticing it.

In Nepal, 20% to 30% of all the adults work abroad (most of them in India, but also in Malaysia, GCC nations such as Qatar, and Japan). This is causing a lot of strain to the family relationships back home. The kids are often taken care by the grandparents, who in most cases are either not capable of doing do, or simply not interested.

It is a sacrifice but you need to know why are you there in a first place. I think that if you focus on your job it will past pretty much faster than usually. Emotional and physically you will survive only with your determination to the job. Keep thinking about what is going to be after all of that. Dont think about it as a something hard but something what just need to be done and thats it.
