Actually the world best is what messi have being looking for since to be ranked above Ronald, and besides messi participate well during the tournament, even though that mbappe played absolutely well the world best is supposed to be messi, the position they give was in accordance, mbappe merited the highest goal scorers why messi merited the world best, even though France won the match it would have been a slight difference in terms the awarding the best player, but since Argentina won and they have a performing player which is messi, i think he deserves the award without sentiment.

I admit, Mbappe is one of the stars of the golden generation. he has a very fast running speed, kicks so hard. However, don't forget how he couldn't score in France vs England, France vs Morocco. how the Man to Man marking was done by his opponent at that time and how it was when France vs Argentina in the world cup final. in the first half, Mbapee didn't move at all. and it was only after Marcus Thuram came on that Mbappe shifted slightly towards the center, that he was able to explore more freely.

Messi winning the best player in the tournament is not a mistake,he was able to make Argentina win the tittle,and despite the fact that Mbape was the highest goal scorer in the tournament,Messi still showed him how good he is in scoring goals.Mbape will really be a great player,looking at the goals he scored in the tournament,you will see that the player is talented and might end up being like Christiano Ronaldo. I like the fact that Messi lifted the trophy,but I would have been more pleased if it were to be Mbape,that would have made him win the Ballon d'or next season.
