Regrets:

 - Selling 1600 BTC in late 2012 between $12-$20
 - Selling 300 BTC @ $120
 - Buying 3TH of BFL 65nm ASIC's in 2012 instead of buying BTC direct. (Only positive is I got each MiniRig for $10K instead of others paying $23K in 2013)
 - Buying certain alt-coins

No Regrets:

 - Buying certain alt-coins
 - Investing in a BFL FPGA MiniRig in 2012 which shipped in 16 weeks from time of sale. (Sadly I sold most of the coins that generation made)
 - Buying 8.2TH of KnCMiner October & November (Mining is dead now and all ASIC producers are greedy...including KnC now)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Steps taken to try and correct the regrets:

 - Swing trading LTC, PPC, NMC has proven very profitable.  Increasing crypto holdings each day.

I don't think anyone made any bad decisions.

Only a lucky few who had some stashed somewhere and forgot them have the great stories. Or those adopters who developed a company which manages huge amounts.

For us everyday barely winning a scratch ticket at the local gas station. We are where we are because we traded. If everyone held, there would be no market, there wouldn't be more (new) people having a stake in the exchange. It's not much different than a company with a limited amount of stock, there has to be a market maker in the first place for it to be worth more than .0001. Other than those who have gotten coins stolen, I think we all are feeling pretty good about what we have acquired.

Me personally, I rather enjoy looking at bitcoin as a coupon. I got quite a bit when it dropped to about $350 and been having fun shopping when it got back to $500. The kids are enjoying the xbox that I payed full price for but with money I got a lot cheaper Smiley

Terminated.
I regret selling off some at $100 and not buying in more when it was less than $1.

Building a GPU rig to mine in April 2013...should have just bought coins instead.  Ended up mining ~4 coins with the rig instead of buying 15

I had invested about 80% of my coins in BTCT.co. Alltogether I had some 30 BTC worth of shares, mostly of LTC-Global. I got the other shares transferred to exchanges such as Crypto-stocks. But lost all my LTC-Global shares after it was liquidated. Lost around 28 BTC.... would have been worth $13,000-14,000 now. Feels bad.

In April 2011 was the big shut down of Full Tilt Poker. I had a few hundred bucks on there that ended up not getting released until this year. Anyway, back then a few people were talking about bitcoins as a way to play legal unregulated online poker in the US. I thought to myself, "I'll buy about $500 worth for $1/BTC and try it out" but I NEVER DID. I bought my first at $645/BTC. Now I think about it every day and start having stupid time machine fantasies and shit. If time travel is ever invented, it will be someone from this forum  Cheesy

not buying into bitcoin when I first heard about it and the price was so low that it hurts just thinking about it.

I know how it feels.
I heard aboutg bitcoin whan the exchange rate was 5 USD.
I even posted the wikipedia article on my facebookpage calling this new technology "interesting"  Grin

There were no reactions, I forgot about it, was interested again when exchange rate was 10-12 USD (late 2013). Even downloaded the QT and got some free mBTC by using faucets.

Then I had exams and did not checked the exchange rate... After the exams, the exchange rate was >35 USD  Shocked
I immediatly wired USD to Bitstamp, when it arrived, the exchange rate was >70 USD  Undecided

bought some BTC. Saw the bubble pop, bought a lot <80 USD Cheesy Cheesy

1. Not getting in when Bitcoin was still $100 because of the hassle of registering on MT Gox (in a way this was a positive thing looking back)
2. Selling at the bottom back in the December 13 crash (n00b then)
