I think it all would be different if Satoshi Nakamoto is now around.. I have just seen his couple of photos and some small statements he has been given. That is all.. No new statements, no socail media accounts. And lately there was news which says Craig Wright is real Satoshi Nakamoto.. Those news make me loose the trust to all cryptocureency. Honestly i don't know what to believe and there are many people thinks the same way with me as far as i can see..

The biggest issue is the idea of the bitcoin network not the founder's identity... Look at other altcoins like Ethereum and Litecoin, their founders are known but the projects have still been successful. Probably Satoshi just choose to be anonymous to avoid any form of backslashes from Authorities

But their success is always pinned on one person, all of the expectation is on them and it's their responsibility to ensure continued success. Bitcoin does not have that and I believe it's a big advantage, I believe Satoshi disappeared for exactly this reason.

How would the crypto arena be different if everyone knew who Satoshi was?

I don't think that will happen, it would be better if Satoshi remained anonymous. of course there are things we want to ask the person but all of his statements will eventually make the market become very unstable

It depends on the details. If everything was like it is now, but Satoshi simply used his real name, or his real name was discovered, then there would be some subtle differences - for example, the speculation about his 1 million coins would be more heated, because right now a lot of people presume that they are lost because Satoshi is dead. But if Satoshi was acting differently, if he continued to be heavily involved in Bitcoin, then Bitcoin would resemble Ethereum, and I can't say I like it - the fate of the coin would be in hands of just one person, and this is against the values of Bitcoin.

Definitely  it won't be the same.  Because satoshi will always want to guide his project and if anything  happens he will take it up and respond.  It's a mixture of both good and bad.  Maybe he would have been killed or jailed by now if he is known.

I think it would be the same. If Satoshi Nakamoto reveal himself he will be in danger because many powerful and greedy people will look for him and steal his invention.

Without a doubt it would be the same since Bitcoin isn't centralized. If Satoshi does reveal him/her/their selves it can have an impact on the community but on Bitcoin it's unlikely that things could drastically change unless it's for the better.

maybe when Sathosi Nakamoto is not an anonymous name, I am sure at this time there will be many people arriving and using bitcoin, only if it happens anonymously in bitcoin will no longer apply. whether this is good or bad.
Nah. The name being anonymous doesn't reduce Bitcoin's usage just look at where Bitcoin is right now compared to the altcoins in the market.

I think it would have been a whole lot different if satoshi were to be around,i think he'll draw so much attention, and wield enormous authority, and it could be bad for the bitcoin,as any private matter of his, could possibly lead to FUD
I doubt if the system will be truly truly decentralized if nakamoto were to be around

This question asked by OP is tricky  Grin. It would have remained the way it is in the beginning but now that the price has increased to this extent plus falling and rising, satoshi would have been regarded as a "demi god", begged to help for the next direction of price movement.

I think that crypto benefits a lot from Satoshi not being around anymore, otherwise people would constantly look to him for guidance and direction and that is not what he intended, bitcoin wouldn't be as decentralized as it currently is if Satoshi were still present.

I don't think the the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto has such deep influence on Bitcoin community. Of course, people are curious and would like to know who he or she really was but again the very essence of Bitcoin and everything that it represents, the idea how it should Bitcoin and cryptocurrency be it's much more important.
And you have to understand that it's in very best interest of Satoshi to keep the identity hidden. At his/her place you would probably do the same.

I think some countries would have thought about his nationality and their common interest with the country of birth. Is possible  some persons would have struggle great with the new concept like some financial expert are currently are now. Satoshi should kindly remain in the dark and not revealing himself

I think that if Satoshi Nakamoto came out of the shadows and announced to the world that he would continue to improve bitcoin such coins as Bitcoin cash and its hard forks would be destroyed and the market would get rid of these parasites ! And of course the price of bitcoin would grow rapidly !

I think that this would be a completely different community. Satoshi initially safe his identity because of the idea of decentralization.
