nope, in that case governments might deploy assassins to kill him/her/them.
Yeah of course if government will know his name so they will try to approach him and will try to take all his useful data about bitcoin how to make it and how to take profit from it, so I think it is safe for his life to keep his identify anonymous because it is all about safety and life so for me it is good for bitcoin as well for his/her life.

Hello =)
Actually, if it satoshi reveals himself or not, it doesnt really make any difference to bitcoin market.
Therefore, Whoever would have supposed to found Bitcoin. it would be called Mother of alt coins. The main point to be noted is; Bitcoin opened a path or a way for the digital world to discover this Cryptocurrency thing and Blockchain. Therefore, Bitcoin will always be considered the tend setter of Crypto world. Whether in future Bitcoin exist or not.

It all depends on the personality of Satoshi. If it turned out that in life he is a bad person who does bad things, then he would have created a bad reputation for Bitcoin. Even if he was an ideal person, various scandals would constantly flare up around him: he did something, he went there. And since no one knows anything about him, he's ideal human  for us.

His life might be at risk if ever he showed himself. People will chase for him and gonna ask to do something that's against his will.

no that wont always be the case . other popular inventors do show them selve's but they are still alive and infact they do recieve alot of attention from the public . the same thing can also happen to satoshi if he will reveal himself  . he can be an instant celebrity  .

On the other hand, I would like him to slam all of those altcoins that keeps on saying that they will surpass bitcoin. I just want to here him saying that no one can surpass bitcoin's success.

no he wont ever do that . satoshi nakamoto is a humble and a good guy . he didnt even reveal himself because he dont want to get honored from his great invention  . only speculators and bitcoin lovers can say those things to altcoins because they love bitcoin too much  .

I don't know, what is clear is that the technology he created really changed the internet, and sometimes it became a pleasant place for those who like it. it might be the same if he keeps appearing in this forum, but I think it will be different when he doesn't become anonymous anymore.

Imagining that Satoshi is known to the world, surely he will be kept under house arrest by some government. They try the best ways possible to benefit through his innovation. Another possibility, if he's known to the world sometimes bitcoin might have not reached the present market growth. Being anonymous is the truth behind the success of bitcoin.

I don't see the big deal with Satoshi revealing or hiding his/her/their identity. The developers of coins like Ethereum -Vitalik Buterin - has his identity revealed but what boost does it add to the coin. What matters is the idea behind the coin and how quality it is to deliver its part of enhancing financial transactions and payment systems.

True. If no personal risks could apply for any reason it wouldn't really change much at the end.

However, if i was him and i was still alive i wouldn't reveal myself at all or do it when Bitcoin is widely used in some years. Those are two possibilities that i personally see. Maybe none of them apply, we can't know for sure, right?

From my point of view it would be fun to know someday.

How would the crypto arena be different if everyone knew who Satoshi was?
There could have being a massive change in the spectrum altogether if he was not anonymous, we would have had solutions for the issues we had on how to speed up the transaction speed took a long time and if he was around i am sure we could have sorted out faster as everyone would give weightage to his opinion rather than everyone fighting over and we will be having one big team together rather than several teams we have now. But the reason he remained anonymous is because he will come under extreme pressure from the government around the world as he was trying to disrupt the entire financial system and i am sure so is the reason he remained silent in the beginning to avoid those issues.

It wouldnt, i think that the vision of satoshi would be the only one with value in that distopic reality, something like ethereum and vitalik buterin

I think there will be a difference when Satoshi is known and still supporting and developing the Bitcoin that we know. First off, if Satoshi is around, a lot of people will approach him to tell him good or great upgrade or improvements to do with the crypto currency he made. Second, I guess since he made it, there will be a rivalry of owning it, not of people but country. That is just my opinion though.

Or maybe Satoshi is into something that we don't know yet as other part of his reason of staying anonymous, because once he gets known. Media will surely expect a lot from his capability. Can he do this and can he do that, when we're speaking about digital entities that will surely be globally used and not just specifically to where he is currently right now.

Well, that might be true. There are some rumours about the two sides of what might be Satoshi Nakamoto is planning to do. There is this theory about the Good and the Bad Satoshi. The good Satoshi they are saying is that he will be controlling the price in order for it not to drop using the million Bitcoins he has, the other side, the Bad Satoshi is that he will be keeping all of the Bitcoins he has and if the time comes that the price is good, he will be selling all of it leaving his creating into rubbles.

It seems you're assuming that satoshi nakamoto is an actual person here. We don't even know if it a single person or a group of guys or just an avatar lol. I'm pretty sure that if the guy is real, we would know him by now so i don't think he can't be anonymous because he's not an actual person. And yes bitcoin will still be the same regardless if someone claiming to be satoshi shows up.

There would be a difference if Satoshi were not disappeared as today. Maybe he will help the problem inside bitcoin and especially in the blockchain technology itself. I think with him inside the bitcoin project, we will stay together in the bitcoin community, and there will be no differences with the other. He will know if something goes wrong and he will fix the problem and make sure that there will be no more problem with bitcoin.

Satoshi Nakamoto was hidden for a reason and I think that might be because of the Bitcoin that he's holding. I've read an article that is saying that Satoshi Nakamoto is holding a million Bitcoins being mined in the past. If a lot of people knew Satoshi, people might push him to or threatens him to do something that might manipulate or control the price of Bitcoin at that time.

Maybe Satoshi Nakamoto will be more outside, because more are interviewed and also the popularity of photos and identities will be displayed throughout the cryptocurrency media, if true Satoshi Nakamoto appeared in public

this is where the importance of a name, if satoshi is not anonymous and known his true identity, and if he is an influential figure, known and has a good image, automatically bitcoin will also be positively affected and will add value to trust in bitcoin, but in fact until now people only able to guess who it is satoshi, but when something must have its purpose, maybe he has the thought that it would be better if his identity was hidden, at least this might be for his good, safety or privacy, and I am sure satoshi has considered this carefully and anonymously is a decision that he considered the wisest at the time
