I believe that life is given for a certain period of time so that each person has time to do something that is intended for him, and not live forever. It will be a meaningless existence.

I do not want to live forever, even if it's always possible to stay young and healthy, because it will be terribly boring. All that you like after a while will get bored and you will not know what to do.

Yes if I could be young, but even if they made this drug, they will never ever give it to us.

Absolutely when I think of the absolutely unbelievable changes in the last hundred twenty years I'm overwhelmed with appreciation of  the time that I live in and grief that I will not see the next hundred years I understand but give very little weight to the argument that you would grow bored or tired of living or that life without death would lose its luster cuz that thought is set in mortality stepping outside of that I believe it is more likely your perspective on time will change in in a relative sense I think of it like this when I look back on my life it seemed like my early years took forever and the older I get and  the more  time I build up the quicker the years seem to fly by when I was 10 that year was 1/10 of my life now it is around 1/40 in that change in relativity  comes with a great change in perspective for me if you carry out that to 10or20 Thousand Years you might be able to find great joy and Beauty in watching a Forest Grow from a grassland OR even regard the ceaseless Battle of. Erosion and upheaval played out by a mountain range with the same all and reverence someone May the waxing and waning of the Moon

For me living a much much longer life would be very desirable because I'ved always dreamt of seeing what would happen in the future and what sorts of technology would arise. I always wanted to see and experience it myself and be part of what would happen in the future.

if you live a crappy life you'd probably want to get out of it. People commit suicide in droves these days. But if you are happy and satisfied, you don't want it to stop. In fact, you'd want happiness to continue forever. Absolutely not. Why would I? Why would anyone want to live forever? Why would you?

Scientists have made a discovery that could lead to a revolutionary drug that actually reverses ageing.

The drug could help damaged DNA to miraculously repair and even protect Nasa astronauts on Mars by protecting them from solar radiation.

A team of researchers developed the drug after discovering a key signalling process in DNA repair and cell aging.

During trials on mice, the team found that the drug directly repaired DNA damage caused by radiation exposure or old age.

'The cells of the old mice were indistinguishable from the young mice after just one week of treatment,' said lead author Professor David Sinclair.

Human trials of the pill will begin within six months.

hmmm... Roll Eyes I think it's complicated. From the one hand it sounds boring and meaningless to live forever, but from the other hand there is the fear of unknown.I mean we don't know what happened after death. We might be reborning again or just don't feel anything...

No, eternal life will be too boring. It's more interesting when you know that you do not have much time, but you have so much to do. In addition, there is nothing eternal in nature, everything comes to an end.

I choose to live forever in my youth not in old age because in old age you can't do anything Wink
Thats true, also I would like to choose to live forever young so I can do anything what I want. Because I would like to enjoy my time my life going anywhere with wealth if I have.

What is the point living forever in this world full of shit and evil. I wonder what few years to come would be like. After every thing, there is always a time to rest and when I'm old enough, I really wanna go take that rest not get younger and start the race all over again.
