I was shocked to see one vote in favor of the first option. The person who voted for it must be sent to mental hospital, as he is a danger not only for himself, bu also for the other humans. This is one of the examples where ultra-religiosity develops in to some form of psychosis and schizophrenia. God is a hallucination. If someone is ready to take a human life as a result of this hallucination, then it is a very serious issue.

The only God that ever wanted parents to sacrifice their children and vice versa was communism as practiced by Soviet Union, later China and nowadays left liberals ruling western Europe.
All abrahamic religions respect family unit as untouchable, basically promising hell to those who would disturb it from the outside.
I know some people are probably going to come on this thread and say something along the lines of "Yes, because God knows the plan in the end" or something along those lines but I probably wouldn't be listening to god on this one, for godsake these children would be my flesh and bones and I wouldn't be able to do something like this without regretting it forever.
I'm not too religious and maybe this could simply be playing a factor in all of this as I don't feel a large connection to God even though I do beleive he is there, this is just something that I couldn't do for him and he'd have to just take it and understand.

To answer your question, yes of course I would've without blinking because the God I know would provide me a way out before doing so.
If God commanded me too, obviously I will be asking why, what is the reason why we need to kill our child. And even if he answers me, I will never do it. That is child, my flesh and blood, I will not kill him just like that,and if He is a real God that we know of,he will not command it to us. The God himself said that we need to mulitply.

If I were religious it would probably be a yes. As already exemplified by Abraham, G values loyalty and obedience and those who fail to give it suffer - even if the request seem illogical or even cruel, such as murdering children.

No, I wouldn't. If you're referring to the story of Abraham, if I remember correctly, it was said there that he attempted to kill his son because he was so afraid of god.
I'm not a religious person, but even If I were, the times have changed and people are no longer scared of the Old Testament god that was shown as a strict ruler and a being of power that liked to receive gifts in the form of sacrifices and didn't like when people worshipped other fake gods. This story wasn't really working out for the church in modern times.
