How about re-naming the baby after you collect the 150 BTC bounty ?

Why bother? You named yourself cameltoe for free!

Cameltoe ftw!

lol that was fun. you'd be spending much to change your kids name. Satoshi isn't a bad anyway..

I don't have a middle name so I can add Satoshi for FREE if anybody do the paperwork and cover all costs. Smiley

Hello,

On my 23rd birthday (2008), I changed my common law/usage first name to Alwin. I've wanted to change my legal first name to this as well, but have not been able to justify the expense*, as I understood it's legal in CA to change your name under common law for free, as long as you're not doing it to defraud. I mostly go by TheButterZone on the internet.

Inspired by the "First Bitcoin Baby" Bitcoinstarter (https://bitcoinstarter.com/projects/946) and posts about it on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=757000.0;all , I thought, if someone would help with the paperwork and cover all the costs*, why not change my first and middle names to Alwin and Satoshi respectively, in one shot? My middle initial is already 'S', so changing the name to Satoshi wouldn't be that drastic.

I'm not aware of any adult who has changed their legal name to Satoshi yet, so I'm willing to be the first. I don't have any civil or criminal liability to escape, or foresee any financial benefit (other than saving money on the name change costs). One would think this should be good PR for whoever helps me, however.

Who is Satoshi? Please make that my middle name.

I'd name my kid Satoshi and keep the 150 btc for him or her to spend when he or she is 18 years old. And I won't tell my wife about it because well, she'd never allow it.

This is lame, a normal person wouldn't name his baby satoshi just to get paid for It. My opinion only.

The webpage is down... so I don't know how serious they are.

Back to the topic, I think millions of people will queue up if this much amount is offered. BTC150 is equivalent to $77,000+ at today's exchange rate. And even in western nations, people are producing babies to claim just $5,000 or $6,000 in child benefits.
Lol. You must be from Australia

Currently I am not residing in Australia, but I have worked in Australia for many years. Yes... in Australia I have seen people producing babies non-stop to claim the baby bonus.  Grin

Also, they stopped giving baby bonus from 2014 onward, since it was mostly drug addicts and cash-strapped teenagers who were producing the extra children. They replaced it with additional family tax benefits, which I believe is a positive step.

I would. I'd use it as a second name tho.
It's not half as bad as some other names that I've heard.
Would put the money in a trust for the baby and use it for their education and future Smiley

Now that's what you call an investment! Wink

You sure?

Yup, beside the fact that i love the name, 1BTC is about 500$ to just name your kid after a legend. Grin
