Honest 80s business!
Yes - makes sense. I mean 150 BTC is still a lot of money and in a few years it may even be worth a fortune! Satoshi isn't a bad name, either. As soon as the Japanese recession is over, they're overtaking the west, anyways!

Satoshi is a pretty cool name for a kid I think, but It does sound too 'Japanese' so would be a bit silly if your kid wasn't at least half. Though as to whether you should name your kid satoshi for money you could just get his name changed back as soon as legally possible which probably isn't long at all. Maybe less than a month or something but different countries will have different rules on this.

Yes, but I would go live in japan and raise him there so his name is not funny sounding and he doesn't get mocked at school. Im sure he would enjoy the 150 million dollars later on and thank me Smiley

Son: Dad, why did you name me Satoshi?
Dad: I was poor and needed Bitcoins. I gambled them away anyways

But it isnt a bad name anyways! IRL my name has characters that 99% of people dont know/cant pronounce, how is that better than being named Satoshi (which actually reminds a bit on Yoshi from SM)
I would be much happier knowing that my parents earned something by giving me this stupid name, rather than have it without any gain, in the end its not a name that defines you, nor your clothes,
but its the inteligence within you (and money if public majority is to be asked)

cheers

I noticed that people with stupid names often get given top jobs. I guess the people that employ them like the idea of it. Names like Doctor Pain spring to mind. There really is a Mr Pain, and even if he failed all his medical exams they would have probably passed him anyway, just so they could call him Doctor Pain.
would name my wife for that money
