A boycott needs to have a good sense of justification to rally people under its banner and support its cause. I don't see a boycott of all Russian gambling platforms can archive this mean. Worse, it seen going too far and doesn't really help the cause of Ukraine right now. You need to provide proof that Russian gambling platforms tie to the Russia government or any good reasons why the boycott of all Russian gambling platforms helps Ukraine's cause.

The reason for this boycott is very clear: casinos pay taxes -> taxes go to russia's budget -> russia's budget supports the war. The boycott is intended to ensure that less money is spent on supporting the war, which may lead to the war ending a little earlier.
Wont really be giving out some significant effects even if they do tend to close all of casinos in Russia considering that this industry is big but not into this place or lets do talk about revenue that they could make which wont really be that giving mindblowing numbers which means that it wont really be that significant nor worth on boycotting.Just tend or look alone on what industries that they do have
been supporting the economic development? This wont really include out gambling which does simply shows that it wont really be that much of an issue even if its totally eradicated or removed.

Media did a vital role is spreading the war. And bringing Russia down, but all the sanctions have not done any harm to the Russia or did it?
Now EU is in trouble for the oil and gas supply - buying the oil from India and India buying the oil from Russia - what a strange circle.
Yes, there is a point because the media wants to create a sensation by spreading the news that is not necessarily true. The sanctions given to Russia do not seem to have an impact because other countries need natural resources from Russia for their countries. But we also don't really know what's going on inside Russia and can only speculate. Hopefully, before the end of this year, the war between Russia and Ukraine can end soon and the people can live in peace again.

Correct, for most politicians we do not even enter on their calculations and they do not care at all about what can happen to the average citizens of their country or other countries, the difference is that in the case of Putin he cares even less, which is why he can keep the war going despite the protests of the international community and the sanctions that are being imposed on his country and which are affecting the citizens of Russia so much.
Even though foreign media have started to reduce the frequency of the spread of the Ukraine-Russia war, I'm still curious how long this will last...

the thing i hate most about a politician is interest above humanity. The Ukraine-Russia war that is still going on since the beginning is a war of interest. without a ceasefire the people of both countries will continue to suffer. Boycott and sanctions have been imposed on Russia, Putin is still stubborn.

Russia is really showing off their power and once they would make out such decision then they would really be trying out their best on having no exemptions basing up on the situation or conflict in between

We've seen that boycotts and sanctions doesnt really have any effect even though it did make some toll but it turns out that it could really make effect on the entire economy on some countries as well.

Just like on the place on where i do live where petrol prices soar up on insane manner due to this crisis which is something do really sucks.
It is all power game. And we ordinary people are unable to understand what is actually going on.
But this is very upsetting how the world has been affected - there is trouble and inflation everywhere.

I would certainly do, there is not limit to the efforts that should be made to stop Adolf Putin's war of aggression on Ukraine. There are however some practical problems in implementing such a boycott, the first one is that ownership is unclear in many jurisdictions which tend to be exactly the ones that are used to deliver gambling services and similar products. It may be quite difficult to determine which ones are owned or pay taxes in the RF.
The whole world boycott has not affected the decision of Russia. You know after Ukraine which country suffered the most? Pakistan.
The PM of Pakistan was on visit to Russia - the next morning Russians attacked the Ukrainians, if is violation of HR too that when a foreign minister is on visit. County does not initiate war. But they did.

Without a doubt the resistance the Ukrainian army and their civilians are exercising have surprised the Russian army and even the allies of Ukraine, but in an attrition war Russia has the upper hand despite the sanctions which have been raised against it, for the simple reason that all the battles are taking place at Ukrainian soil which means the Ukrainian are the ones paying the higher price from the war.
It is true - Ukraine has very modern weapons which are destroying the Russian tanks. Russians too are unable to realise where their technology have failed.
I am unable to realize how the authorities allow the war - and see their people dying.

Well if the the sanctions which have been imposed by the US and their allies have not been enough to stop Putin from invading Ukraine it was unlikely a small boycott was going to have too much of an impact, but despite all of this if people want to vote with their wallet and not support any casino which has any kind of relationship with Russia then they are on their right to do so.
Putin knows that he has power and without oil and gas world would collapse. So he is not listening to anyone. Even the sanctions had no effects on Russia and seem like they are going to invade most past of Ukraine. Sad for Ukraine but Putin should have mercy on people and stop the war.

It is not like Putin he is winning, his first strategical objectives have been not met from the army of Russia, they are suffering heavy losses and will continue to suffer even more,Ukraine is firmly convinced to fight for their freedom and they will do so as long as they have power to do so.They have made considerable advances in Kherson and Kharkiv region, although they are losing in Donbas right now the fact that they are liberating other areas shows that the war is far from over. The only ones paying the price of the sanctions so far are the Russian civilians who strangely enough do not care that they are being isolated from the whole world.

Those people that are also innocent will suffer from this boycotting. This isn't just and fair most especially if it's not proven that they support the horrendous acts of their leader. Their source of income will be at stake just because they are Russian citizens. Whereas not every Russian have the same values and principles.
Did the whole EU and the other world sanction stopped Putin from doing what he should have not done?
Putin is doing what he amid - despite of the fact the whole world turned against them - they will surive because the world look up to them for oil and gas, the world can live without gambling but not with our oil and gas.

Unlike Russian soldiers, this boycott is not intended to kill civilians. The main goal is a peaceful boycott of Russian casinos to reduce the inflow of money to the Russian budget from taxes, which will reduce the support for the war.

This could be an effective approach but I guess even if we boycott the Russian gambling platforms, it still couldn't stop the war because aside from taxes from gambling, they still have lots of resources to support their current war. Innocent lives are already suffering from what is happening to their country but I believe that this too shall pass. The sad thing is, that this war could continuously take more lives.

Of course, the mere boycotting of Russian casinos will not stop this war. We can already see that Putin does not care much about the sanctions and boycotts that many countries and corporations have imposed on Russia. However, if the number of sanctions and boycotts increases, it will eventually come to the point that Putin will have to surrender and stop the war.
The boycotting of the gambling platforms owned by Russians may not stopped the war but can be a good move to show that Putin aggressive attack on innocent Ukrainian citizens is a wrong move. Putin needs to be sanctions heavily for breaking international humanitarian law by attacking civilians and residential areas . This war is supposed to be against Ukrainian soldiers not the citizens that know nothing about war how how to use wapons to fight. Putin has taken a wrong move against the innocent civilians.

I don't really think Putin is that compassionate to think about the business owners who will suffer from boycotting. Given that he has no mercy for the innocent civilians in Ukraine, it's most likely the same to his constituents. Putin is completely aggressive leader afterall.

The sanctions and boycotting of Russia and it's businesses are simply not working.  Roll Eyes  The rest of the world that are not part of this sanctions and boycotting are simply bypassing these restrictions and capitalizing on it. (Take India as an example ==> Buy Oil from Russia ==> Refine it ===> Sell it to Europe.)  Roll Eyes

A lot of Russian businessmen has already shifted their wealth into "Safe havens" and they are waiting for the Storm to blow over. (That is to say, if they are not assassinated before the War is over) = https://www.dw.com/en/mysterious-series-of-deaths-among-russian-oligarchs/a-61719107

To be honest I feel the exact same thing about the sanctions against Russia. In Western media it sounds like the sanctions are hurting Russia a lot and the Russian economy is on its knees. But they are saying this for 2 months now and I don't really see how Russia is really crumbling. How long will it really take for the sanctions to show effects? Because when we look to the rest of the world they are not united and will not impose sanctions. Big countries like India, China or Brazil already stated that their economies are connected too much to Russia and they rely on the trade. And this point the war needs to stop. How about of making new sanctions we get the two countries to sit down and make peace? I am against anymore boycott of Russian companies, including casinos. So we know that this revenues is directly funding the Ukraine war?
But see the double game - India supported Ukraine and yet they are dependent on Russia for thier oil supply.
These sections are surely not going to work. because are mentioned above most of the country trade and energy supply is depended on Russia.

Looks and sounds like the war is going to go on for a while yet. I don't think gambling sites will ban Russians, it's of little use either. But what about all the other measures taken against the Russians or imposed by gambling sites? Would they then be negated once the war is over? I don't expect the war to end this year. The gambling world is about too much money, they can't lose Russian customers. Interests are too great.
I think so too because there is no sign of Putin stopping his war yet. Gambling sites have also not made it public that they will ban Russians from playing on their gambling sites because there is a possibility that it will reduce the casino's total revenue. But many people hope the war will end soon because they don't want to see more people suffer because of the war. Hopefully, it is so that the world can be safe and calm again.
