Ah, just wait then. BFL Might raise price again tho :/
The question is should you get a 300Mhash ASIC/FPGA miner for 2BTC today?

Or wait 2 months+ for something that might be a scam but has a hash rate of 4.5Ghash for the same price?

What's the time table for the 0.3BTC USB thingy?

take that 100$ buy Litecoins,Feathercoins or Bitcoins sell it on ebay for 100% Profit
Not Sure if Scammer building Reputation or Money laundering, but i guess there are really People who willing to pay 199$ for 1 BTC
or 10$ for 10 Feathercoins  or 40$ for 10 LTC

after 5 days 50 trades you maybe have 350$-500$

Bitcoin mining with under $110... Challenge accepted. *Peruses ebay*

Power Supply: HP OEM Power supply 305 watt $14.39
Motherboard: Acer Aspire refurbished motherboard with 1 PCI-E slot $22.13
CPU: Pentium 4 531 and Cooler (Looks like you'll need to pry out the CPU backplate on the Acer motherboard to use the plastic pushpins or find your own screws to attach the heatsink) $3 and $5.34 respectively
RAM: 512MB noname DDR2 RAM $2.68
Hard Drive: 80GB Western Digital SATA $8.49
GPU: XFX Radeon HD 6670. About 112 mhash at stock clocks $51.99

Grand total: $108.02

Pretty good find.  I have seen some of these cheaper/older 775 motherboards NOT work with mining level video cards though but I was trying with 5830's.

There will be Avalon Single chip USB miners for sale, soon.

Some of the folks posting in this thread indicated that they will be selling retail.

I would bet that they will be <BTC1
What's the hash rate on these?
The Terrahash uses a Klondike design for it's board, which uses 16 Avalon chips (4.5GH/s). This little USB miner will use 1 Avalon chip (280MH/s), and its developed by the same guy. Not to be confused with the Block Erupter, which is also USB powered and ~300MH/s, but is sold by the ASICMiner team. They are different. Price for the Avalon-powered K-1 USB device one is expected to be ~0.3BTC.

So what would the best option be for a guy looking for a ASIC for around 2BTC?

Buy a Block Erupter or wait for the "TerraHash"?

Where is the thread for TerraHash, btw?

terrahash sounds good
You can't get much for 1BTC, cept for maybe a 7790, which will get you ~250MH/s, but requires a full PC and PSU with a 6pin power connector.

However, for ~2-2.5BTC, you can get some ASICs!

The ASICMiner folks announced the Block Erupter USB device that does 300MH/s, and is powered entirely off the USB port. However, they only accept orders for 300 or more, so there are a couple of Group Buys. These are prolly the most likely to end up in customers hands first, depending on which group buy gets their order in first.

The other option is to purchase a 3rd party miner made from Avalon chips. TerraHash will be selling a 4.5GH/s unit for 2BTC, but is not accepting orders yet, and it will be 2-3 months after you do order before you get your unit.

And of course, the last option is the BFL Jalapeno. It's 5GH/s for $275USD, which is about 2.5BTC. Current owners of the Jalapeno say it uses ~30Watts, but who the hell knows when you will get on if you order now.
