A short status there will calm a lot of people.

they post updates on facebook...but since I dont use fb I agree a "status" page would be nice

Maybe we shouldn't all hate on Gox so much. Given they handle ~10x the volume of number two their down time is not that bad. And so far they haven't stolen or lost our money.  Undecided

Been a while now.  Cloudflare doesn't help, it just makes it impossible to check if it's down with sites like downorisitjustme because cloudflare makes it look like it's up.

I believe bitstamp is a uk company, but uk banking legislation is bad for bitcoin (hence mt.gox and btc-e not taking gbp any more), so they bank abroad
