Now there is official news from BTER that they got everything back -8 million.

So why our BTC are still locked?

I want to buy some Crypti, but I don't want to use BTER. Waiting Crypti on another exchanges (Bittrex, Mintpal).

Why would you trust Mintpal over BTER? Remember Mintpal was hacked and 30% of all the Vericoin was stolen.

I'm not sure I'd trust MP over BTER necessarily, but with that moolah purchase I'd trust them a bit more. I really doubt moolah would want to kill their own purchase with lax security.

My preference is sort of leaning towards Poloniex or Cryptsy over MP/Bittrex right now. I'd rather the coin built up slowly, so Polo could make some sense. Bittrex tends to be too pump/dumpy for my tastes (although of course it occurs on all exchanges).

So all our BTC have been locked? There is noone here who can withdraw BTC? This might be very bad sign and I thought that the problem was solved. Are we dealing with virtual BTC like on Mt. Gox again? Can anyone confirm successful withdrawal or confirm that is unable to do so like the rest of us?

I would not trust any exchange to hold ALL my coins.  I will keep most of my coins in my own wallet for the POS.  I will keep only a few thousand to ten thousand on any exchange to take advantage of a price spike.

i should have set my buy walls lower!  Grin

Some traders did not find out about the NXT heist as fast as we found out about it. They may be reacting to old news which we factored into our calculus some time back. Some traders are probably only reacting now to the BTER NXT issue, an issue that we know has already been very substantially resolved.

I cannot offer any guarantee or warranty on the subject but it is nonetheless likely that those who sold at 1400 will feel ill when they see what the price rises to on wallet release. They will be unable to stop themselves calculating losses they made by selling too low. We have all been there. So too, in the near future, will they be there.

Cowardice comes with a price tag. As an alternative, try surfing the inevitable price fluctuations and profit taking (this stuff always happens and is a natural and therefore healthy darwinian process) and enjoy the ride  Grin

Big dump right now on Bter for XCR.  Price dropped from last BUY at 1900 to 1400.  Looks like around 14 BTC dumped all at once.

Sorry to clutter up the thread with news of another coin, but I hold Syscoin and what has been quoted isn't true at all.  The DEVs are in the thread; they've been there all morning.  Sys is working.  Nothing has been stolen.  A bunch of idiots panicked overnight for various reasons.

An example of herd mentality and emotional trading.

And an excellent lesson in the need for 24/7/365 monitoring of a mineable coin.

Crypti should consider this as well.  Should not be to difficult, as the devs are in widely spaced time zones.  A glitch in the POS or blockchain early on can cripple a coin.  After a coin matures, these issues are not such a big deal,  BTC has survived several glitches.

Does anyone know what happened to the Syscoin launch? I'm hearing there is a lot of drama going on but I missed the developments apparently.

Looking thru the blog posts, this is what I have found out.  If any of our blog readers are Syscoin investors, please correct me.

It seems that Syscoin had an IPO and collected 250 BTC.  The devs promised to set the BTC as a SELL WALL on an exchange, so it the price ever fell to the IPO price of around 500 satoshi, the original investors could sell and get their BTC back.

Apparently, the devs have absconded with the BTC and are not answering email or blog posts.

"I'm shocked, I tell you........ Shocked! !!"
Price fell because of fork.

Do you know if BTER halted BTC withdrawals?

Seriously, is it just me or are withdrawals locked?

This is very imporant question. Anyone else experiencing such issues? I am unable to withdraw BTC too.

Same here. Is there anyone here who doesn't have that issue?

Why do you want to withdraw BTC from Bter?  You should be buying XCR with it so you can make POS XCR or sell for 5000sats on another exchange soon.

OIC, you want to invest in GOLDEN LOAF YANUKOVICH ??

Are you able to withdraw?

Withdraw?  I am fully invested.  That means all my available funds are in XCR right now, which I cannot withdraw until tomorrow

I just looked through the thread and the devs are there.  So seems like the part about the devs leaving etc isn't true.  They were apparently sleeping and everyone started to freak out and panic sellings.  Too many people into these coins should go back to their video games or something because they really don't have the emotional stability for this stuff and just make it worse for everyone with their panic selling.

Ok.  Granted there was some technical issues and the devs shouldn't have just launched and went to sleep (not sure if that's exactly what happened or not though), but even so. Nothing but children in alt coins it seems. lol

just a guess, its the dogecoin that brought those young ones in. nothing against doge.

sorry but you dont ask moolah to release 250 btc to provide buying support and then not provide that support when price drops below the supposed buying floor. this on top of the botched launch they've lost a lot of credibility and now moolah considering the future of the funds it still holds in escrow.

I thought that everyone in crypto didn't want others to hold their hand?  Didn't want some centralization?  They wanted a free market and to live or die by their own merits? I sure do see a lot of people crying all the time wanting their hand held.

But yeah, devs messed up not being around to fix things when problems started to happen. As for the buy support stuff? That's just hand holding for those that shouldn't even be investing in the first place if they can't handle it.

I agree, and tried to argue against it - if you are happy to pay 500 sat then you should be very happy to pay 400 - the only reason to ask for buy support is because you expect to instantly dump for a quick profit; don't know why the devs decided to pander to that.
