One other option for a ticker would be CRPT...if you pronounce the "T" as "Tee", the symbol sounds out crypti.

Thats pretty cool!!

The name is absolutely awesome, just keep CRYPTI is more easy to ppl to say.

Too far from Crypti. Should be smth like CRT, CRP CRYT, CRY, CRPT

I see your point and hear the "X" group as well...so It was just an attempt at a middle ground... But at least we can see it may be nice to let ppl re-vote on 3-4 letter tickers, which could be really used by exchanges and the like

I've asked Boris to add this one too to the poll.

We can also remove CRYPTI (knowing it not supported by exchanges) and reset the poll, letting people to re-vote.

Great idea and not just bc of adding CXI to the list, but CPI was a late addition as well.. The real reason to re-vote would be to let the ones who voted for CRYPTI to re-vote on a ticker that could be more widely accepted... While I voted for CRYPTI at first but I now see the dilemma with a 6 letter ticker.

Cheers

I've noticed that CRYPTI ticker has received quite a lot of votes - please note that quite a lot of exchanges support only tickers in length of 4 characters, which makes CXX more compatible.

The double xx has many thrown off it really distances the ticker from the word crypti, but yes the 6 letter CRYPTI is too long... But we could really go for a ticker that looks closer to Crypti

CRYPTI is too long,CXX is a pronoun ,could not be related with crypti!so sleceting CXX as ticker is a joke.

Who said it's too long? Too long for what, anyway?

I'd never guess CXX stands for Crypti. I want to be able to tell a friend: "Crypti price is growing fast, dude, go to Bter and buy a couple of hundreds" without having to explain how to find this god damn cxx ticker. Doge, Nxt and Qora have perfect tickers. Crypti deserves perfect ticker also.

CRYPTI is too long,CXX is a pronoun ,could not be related with crypti!so sleceting CXX as ticker is a joke.

please 'splain how CXX is a pronoun.

Battlecoin uses BCX

JouleCoin uses XJO

Liberty Coin uses XLB

PrimeCoin is..........XPM

Tickets uses  TIX

Ripple uses XRP

Monero uses XMR

Counterparty uses XCP

CXX is just cool.  Obviously you are not.

What if we made everyone happy... put an X in the ticker but made it look closer to crypti?
So take the first letter C and the last letter I and X out the middle and make

CXI

The new poll and announcement is the one I was referring to earlier.

Please read the announcement carefully and make an informed decision. We need to get a consensus and want your opinion on whether or not we should go this route.

This is a big decision and one that has an impact on all of us so please vote!

You can leave your thoughts, concerns, and critiques in the other thread and we will try to answer them in a timely manner!

It seems the votes will be overwhelmingly in favor of trading. I'm curious to see how the market will react to crypti.

Main thing in PoT that nodes who forge must support network. 1 node - 1 IP.
When your start wallet, you can write your passphrase and start forging.

In anyway, you can use some free servers/clouds for nodes (heroku) apps for forging.

Ok yeah just have to rewrite things... I could just use droplets on a cloud server
thanks.

something that might be useful is a how-to guide for how to best "forge."  because your rewards systems is so unique, i'm very unsure how best to maximize my potential forging.

Either myself or another member of the team will draft up a guide for this prior to launch and publish it. We will explain the forging process, how weight is awarded, and walk through how to get a node set-up using services like Digital Ocean.

It will be part of a "Getting Started" sort of guide that we will post closer to launch.

that's great.  thanks.  +1

Yes, on digital ocean, ubuntu/linux servers and heroku/nodejitsu (free).

Right so a Digital Ocean Droplet will work... I'm guessing it must be a static IP, With a specific listening port?

Important poll!

We have the opportunity to enable trading on Bter very soon, thus allowing a safe trading for the CRSALE holders, and a buying chance for these who haven't made it into the pre-sale period.

Please read carefully and vote / post your opinion here:

Thanks!

It might be a good idea. It's better to get rid of dumpers right from the start. And believers will get the opportunity to get cheap stakes. I voted against but I've changed my mind so don't count my voice )

Wasn't the timeline proposed like about a week more for the wallet, and an exchange in August? Are people so impatient as far as trading goes that they can't wait a couple of weeks?

I guess I just find it odd that pre-trading placeholder shares is being discussed, when I assume the actual coin being released onto an exchange isn't that far away to begin with. It's not like NEM or ETHER, that may take half a year or so until a real release.

The date right now is still August 10th for the release of the wallet and main net.

And exchange shortly thereafter?

If so, the pre-trading stuff would seem sort of unnecessary to me. Basically it's like pretrade in a week, or wait 2-3 weeks and trade the real coin? Might as well just wait.

If we do not institute the pre-trading, then trading will go live through BTER on August 10th or very shortly thereafter. BTER has already agreed to initiate trading at launch and function as our first exchange (although we are working on additional exchanges as well).

In addition to the new poll and announcement in regards to early trading, we should also have an announcement and new draft of the Crypti Foundation Charter available very soon.

We have a quasi finalized internal version that we would like to post and get your feedback on prior to implementing the final draft.

Once the final draft is ready and posted, we will begin the nomination and election process for the additional board members.

Stay tuned for this announcement hopefully soon! (Just trying to keep everyone updated!)

Release on 10 August, we will not move it.

But i have seen a lot of members who bought in pre-sale and after want to sell it with profit, and members who not had time to buy in pre-sale and want to buy now.
