Two easy ways to find and use the "Ͼ"

First:  Copy and paste from another posting/webpage/table

Second:  Open the character map to TimesNewRoman, select the "Ͼ", and copy/paste

My way for obscure symbols is to have a .txt file on my desktop with the symbols I need occasionally, such as BTC. Then just copy/paste.  Also works for wallet addresses

so , there are always some way to finding the symbol , but  is it too much trouble not convenient to talk or write about ? In fact , people use it in talking or writing , must be use the "c", not be  the "Ͼ".

How to find the dotted lunate sigma on keybroad ? As a man who have common level in using computer , keying the symbol "Ͼ" is difficult , I think most people who play virtual currency dont konw how to key this symbol . Taking a good ticker for our coin aim to communication , spreading ,so it should be as simple , clear and beautiful as possible, not be complicated or difficult in writing . How do you think guys ?

So for those of us who bought on Bter, will our coins be delivered into our exchange account or will be need to have a wallet that they will sent to instead?

Coins will appear on your Bter account on August 10 or 11.

Voted for CRX ticker but I'd prefer XIC instead (not on the list).

Whats with the stupid ticker polls ? Can't you decide on a damn ticker ??  What difference does it make ? Looking like a bunch of amateurs..

I'm not voting this time. I don't care.

Why so serious. People have nothing to do between the end of IPO and launch. It's awesome that even a ticker gets so much attention. It's gonna be one of the most active communities ever.

thanks.

something that might be useful is a how-to guide for how to best "forge."  because your rewards systems is so unique, i'm very unsure how best to maximize my potential forging.

Either myself or another member of the team will draft up a guide for this prior to launch and publish it. We will explain the forging process, how weight is awarded, and walk through how to get a node set-up using services like Digital Ocean.

It will be part of a "Getting Started" sort of guide that we will post closer to launch.

that's great.  thanks.  +1

Yes, on digital ocean, ubuntu/linux servers and heroku/nodejitsu (free).

Just a word to anyone this weekend calculating there low end sell prices...

PoT reward looks to need a hosting service https://www.heroku.com/pricing looks to be Free for 1 instance or 1 wallet...

I'm not sure how PoP will work and if you can earn it off your home PC buying items from
"validated merchants" seeing how it states
Quote
The PoP algorithm will be used to lend a weight based on the amount of currency you have spent since your last block reward. This will be based on AMOUNT spent to a validated merchant account.

From what I have gathered other then PoP and PoI(or Validated Merchant)... PoT is how you get block rewards and it looks like we will need to set them up on a platform other then just a home PC.. Or can any PC/device sending Crypti to a "Validated Merchant" and earn PoP... it's just that the first reward of PoP "amount spent=0" but then every other PoP after the first has a value for "amount spent=x"

I only mention this bc earning your Crypti back once you sell them may not be as easy as keeping/buying a few and putting them in an open wallet on your PC to earn PoS stack...

Dev's I know your working on the tech-paper which will probably clear much of this up... I don't mean to force you guys away from your work to answer questions we may all understand shortly... I just wanted ppl to think about these things when setting there low selling price

The market is as the market does. Since IPO price is about 850 sat, I expect it will be at least twice that.

Well actually it's the greek capital dotted lunate sigma which is fat in the middle
http://www.fontspace.com/unicode/char/03FE-greek-capital-dotted-lunate-sigma-symbol

Nice find - I've missed it while searching the Unicode base.

Seems it's quite what we need.
