Just a regular ol' transfer to bank account, then wire to exchange. The cheapest credit doesn't generally come with crypto-friendly features :-)

So, I downloaded that, but instead it downloaded a second XC wallet for me, and started downloading the entire blockchain again. There didn't appear to be XChat in it. What gives?
Go to the official website, go to downloads, and download the setup.exe file. This has the messaging in the wallet.
and that stored everything in the %appdata%/roaming/x11coin folder
the new client (already several versions) stores everything in the folder %appdata%/roaming/xcurrency
what you can do is backup both wallet.dat in both folders and then copy everything from folder x11coin to folder xcurrency
then you will have your old wallet funds again.

***The XC Daily Update***
Soon XC will add a new layer of privacy based on your XChat address.
XChat addresses are soon to be implemented as "stealth addresses" to which people can send payments.
This means that you'll receive payment on a different address that not even the sender knows.
As such, you can publicly display your XChat address as a kind of cryptographic "business card" for both payments and messages, without anything being linked to it on the blockchain!
This means newly generated addresses on receiver side? Makes sense. Good improvement.

You can create a new address for chat and label it "chat" thats what i did anyway.
To find your public key, right click on your chat address (in receive coins) and click copy public key.

Right click on receiving address in wallet and click copy public key
