Interesting perspectives coming out here.
I agree that endorsements from controversial figures or groups is risky and probably a mixed bag.
That said, when XC takes off you're going to find people like that using it, so we'd better be prepared one way or another.

Better to reach out to Wikileaks if you are actually planning on doing anything. 1) Might be an interesting conversation; 2) If they are interested, their brand is about as well known as Snowden himself; 3) Various members of Wikileaks do know how to contact Snowden, although I would think they wouldn't tell you

My comment to contact snowden was slightly tongue in cheek, but was a result of reading an article in the guardian on him where he talks about the lengths he goes to to defend his privacy as many people are obviously incredibly interested in what he is doing.
If you did want him to "get the memo" the best possible way would probably be for XC to officially contact the guardian and suggest he takes a look as they are in contact with him.

I dont think you really want to go down that road. Most people are thankful for what he did, but still think he is a traitor for how he did it.... more so how he went about exposing anyways.
