Ok, so I have downloaded the new XC program and have transferred the X11 wallet.dat file into the new app folder(XC).  It is showing the transactions from the prior program but my balance is not there...  Where should I be looking for that?  When the prior wallet(x11) stopped synching it was showing the coins as 'staking.'  What should I do know and where should I look for the coins?

Thanks

When you transfer an old wallet.dat to a new wallet, it still has your transaction history bookmarked, hence why you see that and not your balance.  Once the blockchain download catches up to where in line you got your coins, they will show up.  Pretty much you just have to let the blockchain download and then your coins will show up or at least in my experience that is how I comprehend it.

Ok.  That's what I was thinking too but so far the new XC wallet program is all synched up but coins are not appearing in my balance...  Does it have anything to do with the 'staking' function?  I'm all synched up looking at the transaction history that is correct and looking at a zero balance...

Any all all help is appreciated, thank you.

I am running the most current copy of the Mac wallet and it hasn't been synching properly in several days...  Think the download I have is the most recent one from the XC homepage.

Anyone have any ideas of how to remedy this and are any coins at risk because of this?

Glad to be a member of the XC community.

Thanks in advance

the latest XC releases required for the app folder(in windows) to be deleted(because the new folder was named XCurrence instead of X11), run the downloaded wallet, then u had to setup a new conf file, provided in the downloaded folder. I think this is ur problem. Be sure to always backup ur wallet.dat, then try the suggestions.

Ok, thanks for the response.  In regard to 'setup' of new conf file, what do I do in order to do that?  Copy it into the "XCurrency" folder?  I've backed up the wallet.  Here is the readme.  Sorry to be asking basic questions I just wasn't sure if I would overwrite anything important, etc...

Thanks again.  Liking the progress with this coin.  I think there is a good amount of upside.

""Wallet has Been udpated to match branding... so has your %appdata% - backup wallet.dat
This means if you run the wallet, it will create a new directory called XCurrency under %appdata%.
Fist run wallet to create directory[then close] or
mkdir %appdata%\XCurrency
then to copy

copy %appdata%\X11Coin\*.* %appdata%\XCurrency\

For Seed Nodes

Copy the enclosed XCurrency.conf to your %appdata%\XCurrency\""

Why it says this address is not a x11 ?

ForReal, you are on mainnet, Dan posted his testnet address. You have to run the client in testnet. There is a batch file in the latest release, run it and try again.

Ok well in that case /end of discussion

Take it out in Pms if you have to

Based on the feedback you've received so far, (from the investors/testers), are you able to deduce how many days, weeks or months more will be needed for continued "Testing" for REV2?

(This is a simple question. unwarranted responses are not wanted).

Im not the dev so Im not in a postion to answer but you can ask atc

no problem, Thanks!!

Could someone make a complete noob tutorial for making your XC completely 100% safe. Teka you mention you have yours stored very safely what did you do?

Thanks :-)
We made one on the website: http://www.xc-official.com/wallet/

Of particular relevance are encrypting your app, backing up your wallet.dat file, and backing up your private keys.

Let us know if you have any questions, but the how-to should pretty much sort you out.
I clicked on the middle link here and extracted it....wallet is syncing it seems

http://downloads.xc-official.com/release/windows/

Should I start all over again and follow the steps you linked to?
