Yes it happens after the start and it started since the first broken version of V8 miner. It affects all algo and bricks the miner. Older versions work.

can you post your GPU Config? I believe because your config starting with index 0 which is iGPU.

Hi!

I have asus rx 580 8gb cards and sapphire nitro+ rx 570 4gb cards.
The 580 cards working good, but the 570 cards dont start. When i start the miner, the gpu clock and the memory clock load are 100%, but after few seconds the memory clock reseted to default 300MHz. The gpu clock load dont change, it stay 100%. The hashrate is 0 (only the 570 cards) In this time the entire system is slowing down extremely.
What might be the problem? Any idea?

Details:
Win 10, Adrenalin 18.5.1.
jce_cn_gpu_miner64.exe --no-cpu --auto --any --forever --variation %FORK% --low -o %POOL%:%PORT% -u %WALLET% -p %PASSWORD% %SSL% %*

Thanks!
Try to disable OC and over/undervolting. Try original bios.

This is what I tried first. I flashed with original bios + otcp, but not working.
What parameters you use for 580 and what for 570?

I use in auto mode:
jce_cn_gpu_miner64.exe --no-cpu --auto --any --forever --variation %FORK% --low -o %POOL%:%PORT% -u %WALLET% -p %PASSWORD% %SSL% %*
It's need to look what parameters miner applyes to each card at start.

Can someone help? My RX470 4GB cards cant start at all...When i start my miner at the very start my rig crash every time. I tried --auto mode and its the same. Change the setting of my cards and its still the same....THE ONLY rig that work have RX480 8GB cards ..... Using 18.5.1 and 1803win edition 60Gig virtual mem. Anyone with same problem like me?

Thanks!
Try to disable OC and over/undervolting. Try original bios.

This is what I tried first. I flashed with original bios + otcp, but not working.

What you've described is pretty common crash behavior for too high clocks and/or too low voltages.  It's more likely your OC settings than your bios.

Yes, that's what I was thinking. But after I restore the original state, I do not know what to think. Original rom, original gpu & memory clock, original voltages & power limit, (+ new adrenalin driver - 18.6.1) and the card get 0 mhs, and the system freeze. With another miner everything ok at this moment, so the card is working.

Got this on 0.33b2

Detecting OpenCL-capable GPUs...
CL_UNKNOWN_ERROR -1001

Specs: Radeon 7970, win7x64, driver 15.12.

Other miners(claymore,xmrig) run successfully on this pc.

GPU Miner didn't work on Windows 7. It requires Windows 8.1 and higher.

JCE, I think this requirement is need to be placed on 1st page and bolded!

Miner show that card have 4096Mb memory, but can't use it all...
In GPU-Z you can get the maximum that can be allocated by OpenCL, and it's not 100% of VRAM. The environment settings at 100 help but not completely. Even on V7, JCE needs more memory than Claymore did.

Quote
GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 100
this should be 0 or 1, and I advise not to set that variable at all, the drivers will choose the best one.

Quote
in new version somehow it detect iGPU as GPU 0, so try to change your config from GPU 1.
That's a test mode introduced by the 0.33a where I unlocked all GPUs. I will lock back all but AMD and Intel, since mining on Intel works (maybe not fast, but it mines).

Why in newer versions the hashrate 300-580 jumps
add parameter --no-warmup

Quote
heavy should perform just like the old version
version 0.33b2 adds a very little CN-Heavy optim, unrelated to Monero v8

Quote
Tested on 5*rx550 baffin unlocked monero v8 (actually v9): 330 h/s each on "--auto"
SRB gives 430 h/s = the same as monero v7.

Adrenalin 18.6.1
Win10x64
FX8320

Wanna try not auto mode, but idk what's that:
"mode" : "GPU", -ok, gpu...
"worksize" : 8,
"alpha" : 64,
"beta" : 8,
"gamma" : 4,
"delta" : 4,
"epsilon" : 4,
"zeta":4,

"index" : 0, - number of gpu
"multi_hash":128
the multi_hash on a 2G card should be rather 400 or more, on two threads. And 430 for v7 is low, whatever miner you use.
The --auto in GPU mode is made to be safe, not fast. To get max speed, use the manual config.
The CPU autoconfig aims for speed. That's because you hardly can crash the rig by mining on CPU, but overloading the GPU can be dangerous, even for your PSU.

greeks above beta are obsolete. worksize is like in xmrstak. multi_hash is number of GPU threads, each thread needs 2M of VRAM (or 4M for heavy, or 1M for Light). alpha and beta change some inner parallelization settings.

It's strange... But on my Pitcairn card 270X 4Gb miner can't use more than 3.5Gb of vmemory... 1 thread 1856 and 2nd 1644 (multihash 464 and 416 or 448+432) = 3500Mb. Increasig any thread without lowering other leads to OpenCL error on creating buffer for 2nd thread...

Add this line to the bat file "setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 100". Will be used 4gb. Multihash 464 1 and 2 thread. R9 370 4gb 1150/1500 Samsung 575 h, timings (straps) from 1250.
As I know right variable set is "setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1" not 100. I tried it. Not helps. Miner show that card have 4096Mb memory, but can't use it all...
Give all bat file, please, I'll try. And config.txt

P.S. I forgot to point that it's on heavy algo. On v7 and v8 multihash is up to 832 both threads... Also about 3,5Gb... More gives error...
