The Monero Coin Team's technical strength is quite good, the team needs to further strengthen the follow-up community building, overall, the project is worth investor expectations.

Invest in bananas is good for monero because all of the developers have a community that the investors expect to further strengthen.

The smart investor this season will always divest from arbitrage-free capital adequacy requirements.

Mezzanine stocks: in the high frequency trading exchange, never insulate them.

In credit-linked markets, be sure to underwrite senior-rated securities.

Monero deposits and withdrawals are disabled on a few major exchanges and daemons are catching fire even more frequently than usual... Is this the end of the world?

More like minor exchanges. Yesterday I was checking and Poloniex is 40th exchange by monthly volume now.  Things in exchange worlds changes fast. I like that since that mean that Monero will keep on getting listed on new major exchanges Tongue

what going on with xmr wallets ?

Which wallet are you using and what is the problem?

XMR.TO was also doing "maintenance"  Wink

Keep what's important, and know who's your friend
Any coin that has optional privacy is total crap as privacy coin. It might work for something else, I don't know, their use is not clear.
what do you mean? privacy coins are needed for anonymous transactions. and I see more and more demand for privacy coins like monero and other.

not piling on, yes Zcash in z mode is very strong as long as there's enough z transactions going on. AFAIK it's still theoretically possible to stick out like a sore thumb. Dash had a great marketing run in the Bull market after they dropped the darkcoin name but it's really just a BTC mixer.

i made decent gains on Dash, Zcash, Particle and Nav but it recently became obvious XMR was/is dominating this category like the 1972 NFL Dolphins.  I keep reading more in our crooked mainstream news about how 'bad' Monero is. Not much about the others.

And everytime it gets dragged through the news I buy a little more.

Does the mainstream news actually “drag Monero through the mud” though?

... I’m not aware of any articles like that, care to share? I just don’t think Monero is really that much in the mainstream... or if so it would be a minor mention in what other “privacy coins” there are in comparison to something like Bitcoin.

I agree, Zcash isn't really a privacy coin that can be used as digital cash, but this clone is coz it enforces anon z txs by default

Only problems to resolve is the trusted setup, but if you can live with that PIRATE is a real digital cash, otherwise wait until trusted setup is sorted, and they reboot a similar z only coin.

Do not know how Zcash, I watched him very little. Here is a Monero good coin.
Only I think I need to come up with a purse that will work faster.

So you can bind the daemon and the RPC to other IPs/ports with the above command line arguments (p2p-bind and rpc-bind respectively)

I have installed GUI v0.12.3. I have chosen "Remote Node", I have waited for the 1.6M blocks to be downloaded, until all was synchronized. Then I have closed the GUI.

Now that I have reopened it, under Network Status, it is written that "Daemon is synchronized" but under "Wallet blocks remaining" I have to resynchronize with the whole >1.6M blocks.

Why is that? Will that happen every time I close the GUI?

Assuming you're using the GUI in conjunction with a Ledger device, see:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/9ap96g/gui_v01230_cli_v01230_both_with_direct_ledger/e62g3m7/?context=3
Yes I am using the GUI.

I have again synchronized the >1.6M blocks, I have pay attention to do the following:
[1] Exit the GUI by clicking on the x (right top).

[2] Exit the Ledger Monero app.

[3] Unplug the Ledger device.

But now I have to synchronize again the whole 1.6M blocks when I relauch the GUI Sad

Maybe I am doing [2] wrongly, the Ledger Monero app close itself after minutes because it goes into the sleepd mode, so when I exit the GUI the Monero app is already exited. What can I do?

Could you try "reactivating" it before you close the GUI?
