If it uses the same setup parameters as zcash then the privacy is still in question, even if all transactions are shielded:

The trusted setup is the only negative with PIRATE, on every other aspect it is superior to Zcash and all other forks. Given recent bugs with monero and bitcoin, everyone investing in crypto is wise to invest only what they can afford to lose. I have concerns over the trusted setup, but I have concerns over every other crypto in my portfolio too - there can be bugs, code isn't perfect, but I trust monero, bitcoin and Zcash about the same, and as I'm not a dev myself every crypto I use involves trusting the devs who release the code, and the communities around them that use, analyze, test and generally try and break them, and overall I have decided to trust the trusted setup. I would not be surprised if bugs are found again in bitcoin monero Zcash.
