all of the points that made me join the monero base a year ago. amazing project, great things ahead.
on a side note: i'm looking for ways to use monero directly to pay for my everyday activities. Was thinking of using a crypto credit card. Anyone here tried the uquid card?

Thank you for this information. You saved me from a mistake.

At the DASH conference in 2017, the DASH team introduced integration with the Bitcoin-Debit card provider, which will allow DASH to be used with any retail point of sale that accepts Visa cards, both online and directly in stores. This will ensure the possibility of accepting payments to DASH for more than 40 million traders around the world. Also, DASH owners will be able to exchange their funds for cash at any ATM in 210 countries.

Is Monero planning something like this? This greatly increased the price of the coin.

That was a bitcoin card I linked. Smiley So link this dash card.

Oh, wait I found it, It's the same card. Cheesy

Yes and? It does it twice a year and keeps things fresh. Not a fork but a protocol update.

I don't know if this is directly enough for you but you could use the android app monerujo which allows you to send directly to bitcoin addresses to buy gift cards on the gyft app. You can even buy amazon gift cards on gyft which can provide you with a great many of your daily needs.

Trezor for Monero
u/jgp2017Sep 17, 2017, 4:23 PM
There is a beta version of Trezor firmware to permit storage of Monero on the Trezor. Does anybody know if this firmware has been released yet?

xbach • Sep 18, 2017, 1:56 PM
The beta version was an unofficial firmware and never made it to us for code-review and was abandoned.

There is an outstanding bounty for Monero integration on TREZOR though, as well as the possibility for TREZOR 1 support. /r/Monero/comments/68ulcx/would_raising_money_for_the_development_of/dh2kril/

That transaction has over 50 confirmations already so it should have "arrived" already. Make sure your daemon and wallet is synced all the way and double check that the address, you requested the moneroj to, is correct.

Thanks for the reply. I looked and saw that the wallet is not fully synchronized (303508 blocks left to download). Will wait for a full load and hope it will solve my problem.

I think you are talking about web wallets and that was a different problem altogether.

The web wallet will be back to normal, as long as you hold important files you can open monero anywhere just like bitcoin.

I think neither of you guys have a clue what your talking about. Birr can give you first hand experience of one of the first cases of "Disappearing " funds from Mymonero site use.

Ya, that was horrible (was it birr who lost 7k XMR wallet? I remember feeling sick about it at the time, and shortly thereafter removed the bulk of my stash), but IIRC it was resolved to
No, it wasn't resolved and you don't recall correctly.

So still no idea what happened?
