I don't know whats happenng with monero exchanges like Binance but it very much looks like some manipulation, withdrawals was not working and some people still report issues.
We need more and better dex exchanges for Monero and other coins.

Signs of fractional reserves, beware of leaving your funds on an exchange.

Pay the fucking pennies to get that shit into your own keys.

Back from crypto hiatus , glad to see Monero has progressed. Whats up with the news? Is it worth the wait ? because I still got some on my exchanges I have not touch for a while.

I also have some Monero in my portfolio for quite some time now and would like to know if there are any important developments? Even though many exchanges are abandoning XMR, it is still a promising asset. We saw good gains against the dollar, but we are still very low against Bitcoin.

Once Haven protocol is integrated to Thorchain, Thorchain devs will work on Monero integration.

End game is you'll be able to swap Monero for many assets through Thorchain or DEX integrating Thorchain (like Shapeshift).

Note the unconventional cAPITALIZATION!

1.  I love how the archive capture is still updating the payout addresses in "real time".
2.  Wait a minute.. they are showing the to and from addresses for the transactions?  lol
3.  Come now .. the name is "Fluffy van Watchennouncement"

There are more and more sponsors for Monero based Haveno dex exchange, new donators are Cake Wallet and long time xmr supporter @DonYakka!
Much better than using some centralized stuff like liquid as base protocol.

Hi, I'm trying to compile Monero from source in Ubuntu 20.04, but I got this: " Submodule 'external/miniupnp' is not up-to-date.", and after typing "git submodule update --init --force", I got this: "fatal: remote error: upload-pack: not our ref xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

Is there any workaround? Thanks in advance.
Cheers.

I agree with Hueristic.  Well I am not sure that the Samourai devs are "scammy" I do not know.  But they are childish, argumentative and have made sketchy claims.  It seems to me that both they and the Wasabi devs have been caught making really bad privacy mistakes.  But the Wasabi devs seemed to just be using broken processes, while the Samourai devs provide enough doubt for there to even be a question as to their purposes in the first place.  I believe it was shown they were sending IP addresses back to their own servers.  That is either an accident or a straight up black hat move.

More power to them for supporting Haveno... but even that seems kind of silly since their impetus is the fact Bisq is allowing users to use the Liquid chain, which the Samourai devs see as evil because it is centralized.  But, this too seems odd since no one HAS to use Liquid.

On top of the fact that Liquid actually offers REALLY REALLY good privacy as a layer on BTC.

I have always thought something about Samourai just seems a little off.

Again.. I thin it's nice they are contributing to Haveno...  but I your attack on Hueristic to be a little over the top.  CTFD IMHO.

Did you pull this comment out of your ass or did you actually do some research to back your logical fallacy?

You are lost in space here and I believe your brain may be damaged if you can't understand what donations are, you can't even spell Samourai word correctly and we are not talking about Wasabi or Samourai, but about MONERO dex called Haveno.

I completely understand but that does not preclude the fact that I don't trust that project.

It actually makes me wonder if there is a connection between the two and if there is a scammy element of Haveno.

And you still have not made a point other than doubling down on your fallacies.

I believe Samurai is scammy, too bad its not wasabi.

Scammy for donating Bitcoin for developing something good like dex exchange that can actually work?
I am not a part of any crypto tribes and I don't really care about maxi wars.

Samourai Wallet is now supporting and sponsoring Monero-based Haveno DEX exchange with 0.18 BTC grant, and that is what open source is all about:

Regretfully I have to agree.

I have seen far too much outright dishonest and extremely incompetent behaviour from Samourai to ever trust it myself.

Samourai has very poor privacy while bragging about having good privacy: It sends your addresses all back to their server. Their "trusted node" mode doesn't change this, it just exposes your Bitcoin node to attacks completely needlessly. (Needlessly because they only use it to relay transactions, which they could do via the public P2P ports of any node, and because since they've already sent your addresses back to their server sending your transactions via something else doesn't increase your privacy.)

If you want strong privacy then as a start you need to run a full node (and use either Bitcoin Core wallet, or run your own electrum server), preferably via tor.

I don't doubt that they want and intend to eventually have good privacy but it seems that they're just unable to stop lying about it, even after previously being caught.
