Best bet imo is changenow.io ... they do a pretty good job and will only flag your account/need you to go through kyc hoops if you send them tainted/suspicious coins. Even then, they will refund you if you don't want to go through with all of it.

Either that or see what's available on localmonero.co

Well you could use any other wallet that is compatible with the seed type Cake uses... 25 word, I believe? If so that's just about ANY wallet. I would either start with the official wallet from getmonero.org, or the lightweight wallet "Feather".

The nice thing about feather in your case is it does not require a full node running and can use a remote node. Might mean it's easier to sync (at the cost of some privacy).

Make sure to check your binary checksums.

And if you need help with Cake Wallet (I do not use it) then I would contact them on twitter. They seem to be a friendly bunch.

Thanks for your reply, I figured I how to recover my seed on the official desktop wallet.
But i have not been able to synchronize my phone wallet, tho.

So while I can still access to my addresses, it is a bit of an inconvenience to me not being able to access as before.

I have had trouble with Cake Wallet, after a recovering it takes way too long to synchronize, I dont know whether it is a problem with the node or my internet.

It even stops completely after some minutes and I can't use the wallet whatsoever...
