Hello everyone, there is a thread discussion what you would like to see in an open source GPU miner for Cryptonight algorithm coins here. Please discuss what you would like to see in a GPU miner similar to Claymore's excellent miner Smiley

Seems that monero.crypto-pool.fr has copied the "Avg. Time To Find Block" code from my pool without any modifications.
Not that I mind that much, but would've been nice if you had at least asked first..  Roll Eyes

lol I didn't know we added it.

Yesterday I left few hashes on few smaller pools. Today I got payed from every pool, except http://monero.crypto-pool.fr/, so either they cheating miners or they don't have a clue what are they doing.

got payed from monero.crypto-pool.fr/

Hi,

I've been mining for a couple weeks, and I've just set up a small pool given the current DDOS issues:

http://moneropool.mooo.com/
stratum+tcp://moneropool.mooo.com:5555
stratum+tcp://moneropool.mooo.com:7777

It's run on my home connection, and it's the first time so there may be teething issues, and it probably can't get too large, but it may help with the DDOS. We'll see how it goes.

Feel free to drop by Smiley

The fastest pool has migrated to a new server http://pool.cryptoescrow.eu/# please point your rigs to the new address

Yes I agree
Mining in pools is so ridiculous I think I am better of taking my chances solomining  Undecided

Ditto. Mining monero it's a fucking nightmare on any pool available.

And fuck yes I agree! By the time you settle in and think as is well the shit hits the fan. I figure if I am going to gamble of sending my hash somewhere, at least I know wolf doesn't appear to fuck around about anything and thats the best thing going right now.

Yes it does. Every 3 hours.
This reduce the dust TX. It is better for small miners and better for the whole network.

If you're talking about late payment last week, PM me your address and amount missing.

I have now received the full payout from the pool problems this last weekend, and this pool has been paying out consistently. THANK YOU!!!

The hash rate has grown from 40 KH/S to over 600 KH/S in a day, so I'd say some growing pains are to be expected.   Undecided
This was the first outage on my pool for today though.  Smiley

I wasnt actually talking about Kippo but cryptonote mining overall. I used Kippo a few days ago but then they were not finding enough blocks for the hashrate. Now that its big it suffers all the same problems as the rest of the big pools. I am still gonna stay with them for now as I live right next to Finland  Tongue

They still seem to have a problem finding blocks. They should have one every 6 minutes but the last block was a hour and a half ago  Undecided

is it on purpose or possibly bug?
that many blocks to mature

I seem to be quite popular on this forum all of a sudden.  Tongue
The daemon was so badly stuck that it didn't save the blockchain, so I shut down the pool process so that the daemon would speed up synching. The pool will be back up in a couple of minutes.  Smiley

is it possible to mine with cpu and gpu at the same time?

Yes, I am doing it on multiple machines.

Anyone have any luck with any pools?  It seems every pool I connect to I have to babysit since the connections drops every few minutes.  I guess all the pools are still under severe attack.

No, pool software is not ideal, cryptonote ecosystem is in early stage.

Last stats from http://monero.crypto-pool.fr/#pool_blocks
16 hours and 21 minutes : 57 blocks, 2 orphans (3.5% orphans)
one block every 17 minutes with about 500-600 khash.
(((16.25*55)/982)/550)*60)*98% = 0.0973 XMR per hour per hash.
23.352 XMR per day with 10 kh/s
Not bad  Cool
I have switched everything over here and am hoping it works out for the best.  So far I can stay connected to your pool the longest I am just waiting on the first payout.  It has been almost 3 hours so I guess I will see momentarily.

It is paid every 3 hours like this :
00:15 - 03:15 - 6:15 - 9:15 - 12:15 - 15:15 - 18:15 - 21:15 - ...
my local time is CEST UTC+2h
